I have been a customer of Petco since it opened in Dillon. I am very disappointed in this location because it seems to be very unkept and dirty. This seems to have gotten worst over time. The manager is nowhere to be found. The only good thing about the store was the grooming and I understand that both groomers have left, either fired or quit. I can’t say enough about how good Sierra the groomer was. She was excellent with my dog and had been grooming her for sometime, with Sierra gone my shopping and time at Petco will be very limited. If asked I will not recommend people go there. I think that the district management needs to be doing some unannounced check up and really looking into this store and its management.

I went to the petco in silverthorne to find a simple tank filter. I asked the closest employee near me, Anthony. He ran, directing me in what he said was the correct area. Once I told him it wasn't there.. he directed me once again in the wrong direction. After that, he completely dismissed me. I never even found the aquarium filters because of him. I used to come here for everything. This store is really going down hill. I'm going to start using amazon.
Also, they have no idea how to handle their aquatic/ reptile section at all. It is inhumane.

Wow -- I haven't been in a Petco store in almost 6 yrs b/c I live so rural and they are a long ways away. The prices on canned cat food are better than Walmart and about 1/3 less than our specialty pet store (locally owned specialty store) where I live. I really stocked up and got a live plant for my aquarium. Great helpful staff.

No toilet paper in the bathrooms.
And there's some beeping noise in here coming from the sanitation thing.
Edit: came back here the next day, guess what, nothing's changed, still no toilet paper, still beeping sound. Not one employee has checked on the status of the bathroom(s) in 24 hours.

My dog and I walked to the Dillon Petco today for a couple things which I got (in stock ?). While checking out I asked if there was water for my dog to get a drink which I was told no. I paused for a second and asked if there was a treat my dog could have and the cashier said yeah he can have one of those on the counter, and I said “treats but no water?” and again was told no. I’m paying and thinking pet friendly store (Petco), summer (hot), pet friendly town - so I said “really no water” and was told no for a 3rd that there’s a drinking fountain in the back (my dog couldn’t reach the drinking fountain button). Moral of the story - no water in Petco for your dog if it’s thirsty and can’t reach the drinking fountain button ??♂️.
