This store is always dreary, unkempt, the employees are a bit too lackluster and verbally uncognizant with their private life conversations while checking out customers. It's understandable that this might be their first job and all, however the store isn't clean or shelved orderly, and the frozen food section hasn't been working since I first started coming to Denver two years ago. Having no drive will drive a business into the ground.

Avoid getting your vaccines done at ANY Walgreens, if possible. I've had to get several done over the past few weeks for travel. All the options they have on the website is a lie–if insurance won't cover them, they refuse to stock them. Even ones they should keep stocked more regularly, like for Hepatitis A/B, are not stocked until you come in for the appointment and they tell you (after you wait for like 44 minutes) that they don't have the vaccine. (And yes, they will get testy if you call in to make sure a vaccine was ordered on time like it says on the website, no matter how nice you are about it.) This has happened to me four times at two different locations.
You can't get vaccinated over a lunch hour, either—I've never been able to get a vaccine without waiting for at least 45 minutes if not longer, even if you check in and fill out all the forms ahead of time.
I don't even blame the employees. Walgreens simply does not keep their pharmacies well staffed enough to not always be flooded with people trying to get prescriptions, no matter what time of day it is, nor do I think they even know that the website allows you to order any vaccines at any time or send them notifications to order things, and even if it did, they visibly don't have the time to check. I don't even know what the point of them having lunch break hours is, I still see people coming up to the desk or people working through them. What's the point of offering so many vaccines if you can't bother to staff and pay your workers enough to make the process seamless and accessible for everyone?

Bad service

Horrible service. This Walgreens gave my partner the wrong amount of his anti-seizure medication; they gave him one bottle instead of the usual two. Then when he called to tell them, they lied and were incredibly rude to him over the phone, trying to convince him that he was lying or must have forgotten or lost one of the bottles. He spent hours on the phone with insurance and had to pay for a new refill - which, surprise! - came as usual in TWO bottles. They lied again to his face trying to convince him that two almost-full bottles of pills could somehow be “crammed” into one. Unbelievably low to try to convince a patient with a brain tumor and memory issues that he forgot or lost his medication instead of owning up to their own mistake. We obviously will never come back to this pharmacy.

On this visit to Walgreens pharmacy, I use the drive-through I could not walk in to the store due to circumstances from coming out of urgent care. I had to drive through at the second time because my prescription was not ready and I needed to get the payment together. A different technician came to the window and asked me what I needed. I explained my prescription should be ready I just drove through, but had to get my payment ready and they were packaging my script. The technician looked at me with a blank stare for almost 2 minutes and said will come in. You can’t pick this up through the drive. I asked her patiently 3 to 4 times. Could you please get the pharmacist if I was to try to walk in, it would take a very long time, she argued repeatedly just come in I’m not putting this through the window. You have to come in its control. I stayed at one last time please get a pharmacist I cannot get out and walk not to mention would this be happening if I was handicap and could not come in and discomfort or not, she walked away, came back with the pharmacist. The pharmacist could see that it clearly would not be a good idea for me to try to walk that distance proceeded with the transaction of giving me my prescription with the technician beside her, shaking her head and got Atlee rolling her eyes. I think the pharmacist for understanding

Went in today to pick up my inhaler during an asthma attack. I had gotten a notification that my inhaler was ready for pickup. When I got here it was not and I was forced to wait while hardly able to breathe for them to actually fill it.

The old saying, if I could give it a 0-star rating, I would. There is one guy here who actually provides good customer service. Outside of him, every employee I have ever encountered acts like they do not care about you or their job. I sat on the phone for 30 minutes yesterday waiting to find out if I could pick up my prescription, only for the automated system to hang up on me after it sounded like I was being connected. I then called back and waited for 25 minutes again only to be told they couldn't get in touch with the pharmacy, and I could leave a voicemail and wait for someone to call me back (like that would happen). Since I live somewhat close, I got in the car and drove there to find out that they were closed inside of their operating hours with no warning or decency to let even others in their own company know (hence waiting on their phone system when no one was going to be there to pick up). Today, I go into the store again to avoid the phone debacle again, only to find out that my prescription is on back order and to be explained what backorder means as if I was a child. They cant take the time to update their records online or answer the phone to let their customers know. This pharmacy has had ongoing and multiple issues outside of my rant today that I have been dealing with for 8 years now and I think it is finally time to move on to a new more respectable establishment.

Wish I could give y'all negative stars. Don't go to their pharmacy unless you wanna be judged and not helped at all. My partner takes estrogen and needs a specific needle to do so. Every time we come in, either them or myself, we are met with rude service from the pharmacists who immediately write us off as druggies which we aren't however if you have that big of an issue with addicts FIND A NEW JOB not on Colfax. Part of your job is to not be judgmental and treat people with kindness. Everyone else in the Walgreens are helpful and kind just not your pharmacists.

One time, I called this pharmacy to see if my prescription was ready for pickup. Waited on hold for 40 minutes at home. Got tired of waiting, and walked to the store, still on hold. Waited in line at the pharmacy counter, still on hold. Got to the front of the line and saw that the pharmacy staff had taken all the phones off the hooks and set them on the counter. They weren’t particularly busy and clearly weren’t short staffed. They’d just literally decided not to answer any phone calls that day lol.I guess that would be kind of funny, except this is healthcare and people’s medication we’re talking about. I’m a nurse and it absolutely blows my mind that clowns like this are allowed to work in a field with people’s health on the line. Walgreens are generally pretty terrible, but this location sets an all time low standard. Go literally anywhere else.
