I am a 6 yr Life Member and Peer Mentor at the Veterans Treatment court in the 18th Judicial District, Arapaho County. Very fulfilling work. I am very impressed with the tireless and extensive work being done by VFW Post 1. I need to contribute to their good work with Veterans and the community. Appears that numerous community groups also are aware and beneficiaries of the patriotic humanity of VFW Post 1. I am proud to call myself a member.

I have been a part of the VFW post 1 since 2015.active in their art community , other events, and a veteran auxillary member. It is a top notch all inclusive family of veterans, active military and their families. They truly are a diffeerent kind of post.

It is nice to have a place that vets can hangout at that is not a bar.

The main public function of VFW Post No. 1 is the regular First Friday art shows. They can be somewhat variable in quality, but the space is large and a lot of art is exhibited from both veterans who are artists and a limited number of non-veterans. The Post also has monthly meetings and other scheduled activities for veterans.

Veteran of foreign Wars does more for vets because the members here had to have served in a foreign conflict to be eligible to join. Post 1 was also the oldest post founded in 1899.

This isn’t your normal VFW and if you can’t believe that then you should really check them out. This Post takes pride in providing quality and valuable programs to not only our members but for all veterans and the community. They think outside the box so they can continuously be one of the most progressive VFW Posts around.

I haven't been to this location, but I'm planning a visit Soon. I've been a member of post # 1 since the 70's. I think all V.F.W.'s are fantastic and helpful.
