If U Park were a business, it would be OUT of business. Disorganization is rampant in virtually every corner - from the classroom to the Discovery Link program. The on boarding process at the start of the year is incomplete and parents are left on their own to figure out how things work. The school itself is filthy and in dire need of an extensive remodel. The prevailing attitude among the teachers and staff seems to be that "it's just good enough". Communication is poor and often times the teachers will not respond at all to your concerns. They've actually informed parents that an activity is scheduled an hour before it starts, which leaves 99% of them unable to participate in such an event. This lack of planning and lackluster vision of mediocrity might work in the Public Schools, but not in the real world.

This school was not good for our kid. We didn't like the fact that she started out excited for school only for it to change to where she didn't want to be there anymore. She had issues with bullying that were never properly addressed.

My daughter was enrolled here from K-3rd grade and it was not the most positive experience. I originally chose this school because of it’s academic ratings and it’s proximity to DU, where I was finishing my graduate studies. However I was highly disappointed with how concerns were addressed and how ‘cliquey’ the community is. I kept holding my breath that my feelings would change regarding this school but they only seemed to worsen with time. I can definitely see how and why this school has gone down in the district’s ratings. I am so glad that we made the decision to change schools; I have not regretted it for a second, well except maybe only that we didn’t change schools sooner.

I went to school there pre-school through 6th grade. It's great to look at the pictures. I have great memories of this school.
