I first found the UClub as a wedding venue in 2013 (and had the perfect wedding reception there) and since then I have been a member and hosted coporate events and conferences in the beautiful, historic building. It's the perfect venue for events, having many unique rooms and spaces. The chef is incredible, the pricing is reasonable - what else can I say? My experience there has been 5 stars every time.

This is a great venue, that I visited last week, for a Northwestern Alumna Council of 100 (C100) women's networking & mentoring event. It reminded me of the old school clubs like this in San Francisco & on the East Coast - in Philly & DC. The ambiance was collegiate, in look & feel. The appetizers were presented beautifully (provided by us, I believe), and the drinks - provided by the bartender on staff - in particular the non alcoholic, purple punch, was superb. The bartender was also friendly, and conversational, as I arrived late, so he gave me the "lay of the land". Minus 1 star for the faulty projector, during the second presentation.

The atmosphere is tranquil and the food is solid. There reciprocal membership with other clubs across the world is really quite nice. You have to be a member, but they host perspective member meetings monthly. If you are looking for class and charm and a quiet place to have a drink and a bite- this might be the place. The downside, since Covid, they are only open M-F 10-8. They have great events but with no place for Sat brunch or Dinner, it is missing that additional fun time to stop by with friends

What an interesting historic place. Go to their website and read about their traditions, it is really wild. I was there for an industry luncheon and talk. Lots of dark wood and comfortable seats. The food and service was good, but the rice was pretty bland.

I tend to be here frequently as a guest. My buddy is a member. I don't know what it is about the place. However, it feels like home. Maybe it's the ghosts. Food is really good and the members are interesting unique people. Great for networking if you're into that kind of thing. They host a lot of events and I've seen some very unusual events hosted here. I like it. Worth becoming a member.
