We come here for our kids for their birthdays and holidays. This is also our go to for friends birthday parties( lots of those) so we are always in here either buying gifts or gift cards. Recently, a holiday present for our kids broke on the first day. I am disappointed that all they could offer was store credit, especially since we frequent this establishment often. You would think with three different locations, they are doing well enough to offer refunds to their customers.

The store itself is great! So many wonderful toy options, bright, and organized! It’s a gem for finding something special for the kid in your life. However, I went to the store today around 3pm, and there was zero customer service to be found. I was in store for about 30 minutes and there were five young employees working, all congregated at the counter. Not once did any of them ask if I needed help, asked what I was looking for, offered ideas, etc. They were having very loud personal conversations covering many topics, goofing off, waiting “for customers to leave so they could arm wrestle,” and offering zero assistance to me or any other customers in the store. When I went to the counter to pay, I interrupted their conversation to checkout and felt like a bother to their social time. I paid for my item and was asked if I wanted it gift-wrapped for $1 extra, which I did and chose a paper. It was haphazardly wrapped and given to me; I started to walk away, turned it over, and the back flap was half-secured, the ribbon was loose, and the edges of the paper gapped widely at the seams. I walked back to the counter and asked “Can I have another piece of tape, this is kind of jankily wrapped,” which they added one more piece, handed it back, and asked “Is that good?” I said, “Sure,” and walked away, but not before I heard one of them say, “What a witch.” I got home, and rewrapped the gift (using the same paper, as it is high-quality), and also noticed the price sticker was left on. I left the store completely flabbergasted. I have not as unprofessional of a customer service experience in years—possibly ever. I was utterly floored. While the store is certainly a good find, I don’t think I will ever return. If the owner wishes to reach out for further information or details, I’m happy to provide. Otherwise, I hope this can be a learning experience for the employees on staff today.

A must stop shop for the kid at heart or anyone looking for gifts. Wide variety of books, crafts, toys and games. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Denver and we found things we haven’t seen since we were kids.

Came here to get myself something because Toys R Us is gone and found this place. Very good establishment with a nice variety of toys and a charming theme. May be coming here in the future. Thank you!

We stopped into Timbuktu Toys Lowry last Sunday about 20 minutes before closing time. As we entered the store both employees, a woman, and a tall, thin, young man notified us, in an unwelcoming and unfriendly manner, that “they were closing in 15 minutes”. We purchased two toys, for an approximate total of $90 and were out of their hair with 10 minutes to spare. My wife attempted to return one of the toys (an inflatable tent) on Monday, and the young man asked her repeatedly “Did you open the packaging?” (We had not). He then claimed that he could only give us store credit, and my wife had to insist, repeatedly, that we were entitled to a refund. She returned on Tuesday, dealt with a female employee, and was given a refund without the hassle that the male employee seemed eager to create for her.The two employees we dealt with on Sunday do not belong in a retail setting. They are not able accommodate customer needs in a courteous manner, which reflects upon both them and their employer. There are a couple of other reviews in which this scenario played out, so I do not think that this is an isolated incident. We have shopped at Timbuktu Toys since they first opened, but will not be back.

One of the greatest stores I've ever been in. They have so many amazing toys that I've never seen before. Inflatable forts for kids and all kinds of different swings and scooters/big wheels were so different that I wish I was a kid again. If you are looking for a gift for a child and dont know what to get go in this store and you will find something. And they had 2 associates both very happy to help us find anything we needed even though store wasn't that busy. That shows they care about customer service to me and its appreciated. If I didnt live across the country I'd be buying all the kids I know gifts here for holidays and birthdays and probably would end up needing another job lol.

Very nice local store. They have a broad set of toys, and often find new interesting things. They are also kid-friendly, a must in this industry.

Vast collection of toys and very well maintained store. Easily find any toy by ourselves.
