Found this venue back when I lived in Denver. One of my favourite singers Tyrone Wells (February 2013) was playing at this location and I had to see him. I drove to this location because it was located under a restaurant and showed that it had plenty of parking. That information was accurate. The venue was in the middle of a huge lot. When I walked up to the entrance I will say at the time (I've not been back in years) it was hard to figure out if I was at the right location until I was basically inside. The signage for Soiled Dove was on the side of building. I was greeted by a hostess who told me where to go to access the underground venue. I walked through the large, packed venue to a set of stairs and followed them down. I was greeted again once I made it downstairs by a host/hostess team and security who checked my tickets and ID. The venue was really cool and far exceeded what I expected. It was also larger than I expected. I was taken to my seat which was at a shared table right near the stage. The stage was elevated which made every seat in the house a good one. The server took my drink and food order and I went and checked out the merch while I waited. I snagged a couple of shirts and CDs from the other artists that were opening the show. The opening acts: Brett Young and Brendan James were fabulous and got the crowd going. When Tyrone came on stage the place erupted and stayed on a high through his entire set. I'd been a fan of Tyrone Well for several years and seeing him in person did not disappoint. I've wanted to return to SDU for other events but haven't made it back in all these years. Maybe in the near future! (Fingers and eyes crossed. =))

Best crowd and venue in Denver. Acoustics are unmatched anywhere in town. A jewel in Denver’s crown for sure.

Crowded seating hasn't been improved since 10 years ago, and the place is definitely showing it's age, wear & tear. Suggest regular improvements and updates to the venue to keep it reasonably fresh and exciting. The show was ok, not the high energy Christmas show we all know she is capable of, unfortunately.

Small, intimate venue. Not a bad seat in the house. The Jim Dalton Sunday Brunch was a fantastically entertaining show! So much fun!!Food took a while, I think they lost our order for a while. Could use small lights on the tables so you could see your food. It’s really dark when they dim the lights.
