If I could give this location negative stars I would. Terrell is so so so so rude it's actually absurd. If you need anything from customer service you're sol- it is almost always closed. If you want to pop in quick- think again, you won't find more than one check stand open, and the cashiers they do have have absolutely no concept of moving at anything other than a snails pace. The pharmacy is unreliable, it took me months to get my prescriptions successfully transferred, and the head pharmacist is incredibly condescending; imagine the most arrogant person you know and then go up a level. I've lived in this neighborhood for fives years and the current state of things is new- it used to be our go to. Now it is only out of necessity and even then, I leave amazed at how terrible the service is here. They would be just as well to fire everyone and plow this place. It's that bad.

I am very disappointed. My simple request for quarters was met with an astonishing refusal. Gal was nice but she just said because they no longer have quarters in the registers, they are unable to sell rolls of quarters anymore because they do not have rolls anymore. It’s not just about the quarters; it’s about the principle of accommodating basic customer needs. Customer Service for the neighborhood!!!? Is it really?In the past, Safeway has been my go-to destination for groceries, for decades!!!, the inability to purchase rolls of quarters, despite the store’s claim of providing customer service, is a significant letdown.

Pharmacist said he wouldn't give me my prescriptions if my medical needs change too frequently. Unfortunately, the changes are outside my control, i.e. providers leaving Denver health and a switch to a different hospital to see a specialist. Maybe I was treated this way because I'm on medicaid? I would avoid this pharmacy if you can help it.

Was shopping and restrooms were out of order! Is it a crime that your body just needs to use the restroom?! Just feel sorry for the employees.. wonder where they go when the gotta go.. just sucks.

I agree with reviewer MB who posted a week ago. He is right on about customer service, stock issues, and overall friendliness of staff. I returned something less than 30 minutes after I bought it, completely factory sealed and with a receipt, and I apologized for my mistake, and the woman threw it in the trash and said, "You'll get your refund." Plus all this clipping of coupons in the app makes extra work for me and is a waste of my time. Either put it on sale for everyone or don't, but this is ridiculous. I, too, will always choose to shop elsewhere now that I've moved back to this area.

While this location has never been a gem, it was at least reliable. In the last year, I've watched this location go wayyyy down hill. *Almost* all the checkout employees kick ass, but the stock, varies and inventory of this location are GARBAGE. The reason I'm writing this review is for the absolute cabbage-brained inventory manager who told me, after being unable to answer if they carry any tzatziki since it's no longer where it has been for years - yogurt, salad dressing or otherwise - that I can just mix ranch sauce with dill. What in the actual backwoods fuck are you talking about? Common items out of stock, sometimes for weeks. Completely unreliable re-stocking. Did you like that product? Dope! They don't have it anymore! The meat section is especially horrendous. I haven't seen anything but the lowest grade of USDA since 2019. Expired, leaking proteins are somewhat common. The readyfresh meals look about as appetizing as my feet after a workout.

I come to this store very seldom anymore because the staff just seem checked out . They do not seem to care or are just plain lazy! They are definitely not engaging or friendly. The self checkout is incredibly dirty. I have never seen an employee clean anything. The scanners are disgusting and the staff member just stands there looking clueless and disinterested! If it's dirty up front , you know the back of the house must be filthy! A call to the health department may be in order! HAVE SOME PRIDE IN YOURSELVES AND YOUR WORK!!!

Apparently this Safeway's check out system does not have the ability to sort out the food items you are able to purchase with a United Health Card vs. an EBT Card. ( I am not having this problem at King Soopers.) It is quite embarrassing to go through the line and the clerk telling me I have to use my EBT card first which doesn't make sense. Then the bagger (Rudy) got an attitude and tried telling me that I should have purchased all the items using my EBT card! I had to cancel buying all the food items that I needed. I'm going to name this Safeway the UNSAFE-WAY! The only reason I'm giving this store a 3-star review is because the manager and assistant manager tried their best to rectify the problem, but were unsuccessful.

The Safeway located in Idaho Springs, CO. has definitely moved up several notches in customer service. I met Desirae on her first day on the job. Usually my husband & I bring in a few carts going into the store but leave the empty cart in the"cart corral". But not this day. I was so impressed with Desirae's positive attitude, kindness, & enthusiasm, displayed to myself & all customers that I took the cart back in because I wanted to tell her how very much she & her efforts were appreciated. Desirae is truly genuine. Time & time again, Richard & I have received & witnessed the aforementioned characteristics. Most sincerely, Richard & Michelle Chicago Creek Road

The self check out station shouts your phone number for all to hear and there is no way to mute it. If a creep wanted to get someones number this would be the easiest way
