To be a 1 star grocer in a 5 star neighborhood is tough. But, unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest I could review. The staff was dismissive and even stated the aisle labeling was over 2 years old. Good job Safeway. So proud of you.

Arrived well before closing, they were entirely willing to accept my money for the groceries but refused to let me use the completely operational bathroom because “The bathrooms close at 8pm”

Over the weekend the woman running the self check was incredibly rude. She snapped
At myself and grandchildren for asking for help saying “I’m only one person” and when the machine messed up again she said we were “too much.” She must need a major vacation and training. She’s horrible. Description: dark hair, short, stout and name starts with J. She’s a really angry person and I hope she gets relief from whatever is making her so upset. I am 92 sometimes I won’t hear you or will need extra help. I’ve come here 17 years and she’s always crabby.

Marty went out of his way to help, even though he has was busy stocking. The store is clean & they have lots of healthy options!

This has been my store for over 10 years and after swearing to myself no less than a dozen times to never come back, today was the last straw. Every time I come they’re out of at least one item I need. It seems mathematically impossible but it’s true. Need two things- out of one. Need one thing- don’t have it. They’re batting 1000 on disappointment.
Also, not uncommon to find items on the shelf past the expiration dates.
Today I needed mascarpone and couldn’t find it. Asked the gals at the deli and another woman stocking a few feet away hollers without looking up “Nope. Nope. Don’t have it.” Super rude. Later tells me they don’t carry it because it’s “seasonal”. Mascarpone is seasonal? It was seasonal before refrigeration.
Went to Kings who had everything I needed (including seasonal mascarpone) and no attitude.
Bad tempered employees
Inconsistent inventory
Expired food
Filthy bathrooms
The geographic convenience is not worth every other inconvenience of this store.
Two stars for the checker ladies being cool to my daughter…and Tony is rad.

This Safeway has continued to get worse and worse. Every time I go in there are too few cashiers while other employees are standing around self check out, like it’s social hour.
When asked why there is only one cashier midday Saturday, was told “they called in sick”.
Well, we’re done here. Lines (line) 10 people long aren’t satisfying ANY customers.
I’ll go to King Soopers or someplace else why they care about their customer.
Now there’s also the Safeway on 26/Federal that is a crime scene waiting to happen. The second un-Safeway in town.
Shame on Safeway and Cerebrus Capital Management.

Horrible customer service. Not only do you need to use your club card barcode, but also download and use the app for discounts. Not 1 but both. Service rep REFUSED to make a simple quick override. Dissatisfied customers don't come back. Shame on you Safeway. Horrible service. Horrible!

Everything was fantastic until I went to the self checkout to pay for my groceries. As I approached, the woman manning the self checkout super rudely snapped at me "its 20 items or less!!"
I replied that I was pretty sure I had less than 20? (I actually had 19.) The were indeed two cashiers stations that i saw, but their lines were pretty long. The self checkout was practically empty, It seemed like that was the practical choice. I was shocked that this employee would single me like I was a criminal when I was merely trying to pay for my groceries in an efficient manner.
After a few items the self checkout machine froze up. The woman blatantly ignored me when I asked for assistance. She finally came over with a scowl on her face and snarled at me that it's because I had too many items. Lol! 19 is too many? I felt very targeted and unwelcome. This is not the first time this has happened at this store, by any means! I will never return here. For an employee to treat me like I was intentionally doing something wrong, when I'm just a decent person trying to buy groceries.. is unacceptable to me.
I went to customer service after my encounter, asked if a manager was available? After ten minutes no manager was in sight, so rather than providing feedback I will just never go here again. The other stores in the area always welcome my business and provide a pleasant shopping experience.

This has been my neighborhood grocery store for 6 years now. Love the staff, love the store, but the bathrooms always look like a crime scene the few times I've had to use them. That's my one and only complaint

This is my local Safeway. All photos were from within the span of 3-4 weeks. It's not that you just can't find a niche item, or they're out of the brand I like, instead they're "out of bread" or milk, or eggs - as in, they don't have any whatsoever. Being in this store is like stepping. back in time to March, 2020 at the height of Covid shortages, or the bleaker days of Soviet Russia. That, coupled with the very long checkout lines of people cradling groceries in their arms because there's usually no baskets or carts available.

Garbage store. There is a reason I drive a mile to go to their competition. Showed up looking for heavy whipping cream 10+ racks of the stuff just empty. This place is a sh!t hole. I recommend avoiding

Would say 5 stars but homeless approaches vehicoles in parking lot and when entering and leaving the store .

What happened to Dominic. Seems like since he's gone the store is terrible!!!!My experience today has made me re think ever going to our local store for 15 years.
