I always have problems when I go to this Safeway. But one employee there, I didn’t catch his name. He was the best cashier I’ve ever had. He was the most helpful guy I’ve ever met there. He needs a HUGE raise for how amazing he was. He went out of his way to help my boyfriend and i when I’m pretty sure he was on his break. This safeway needs its run very poorly but to the man who worked on 6/8 around 7pm that’s kind of soft spoken thank you you’re the best employee I’ve ever come across and you deserve a 10$ raise. Thank you

Shelf displayed prices don't match what the register attempts to charge you, the difference ranging from $1 to $17. Shocked me.
If the app says it's in stock, there's a 40% chance they actually have it in stock.
Update: Since it's close, I went here again, just to get a specific ingredient for supper. They're woefully understaffed - at least in terms of actual employees. There was 1 register open, with 12 people in libe for it, & well over 30 people in line to use the self checkouts.
They have plenty of security guards, though. While I understand the need for them (I saw a guy walk through, pu k up a soda, & try to just walk out the door. He was stopped by one security guy, while a second person tried to walk out with unpaid for steaks in hand - he was caught by a second security guard. So, yeah, they do need multiple guards.)
I'm beginning to wonder if this location is going to be closed before long, as they can't seem to hire, or keep, enough actual employees to staff the store itself.
Conversely, the employees they DO have are PHENOMENALLY helpful. Hence my adding another 2 stars to my review. Their employees alone deserve 5 stars!!
I just wish the rest of the store was as amazing as their employees.

Corporate is too greedy to properly staff the place, and to turn on more then 6 self checkout stations, regardless of lines. Been this way the whole year. Routinely will wait 10 minutes in line even during slow hours.

Second time I bought online and some product are missing, first time I aware in home and lost money, second time I checked at the moment I received but the person in charge, doesn’t help and I have to wait 20 min until manager give me the product’s.

Have shopped here for years. This is a great place to shop. The carts lock as your leaving the store. You have to get someone to help you out if you have a lot of stuff. Kind of a pain.

Placed online order for pickup. The woman aggressively threw all the groceries in my trunk, only for me to get home and see a gallon of milk blew up in my trunk and got everywhere. I called the store back and the lady was super rude, only offering an apology and another gallon of milk, disregarding me needing to detail my vehicle to avoid a rotten smell. Horrendous service.

only stop if needed. This place is called UNSAFEWAY for a reason. On top of all theriff raff, the security guards in the building are incredibly rude to everyone. The last two issues I have are there is A LOT of expired food for sale here, I know because I use to stock the shelves.
This place should be shut down by a health inspector. I understand the store may be needed in this neighborhood though.
Last note, the GM and his management team do not have any leadership skills. Not one of them should have employees under them. They lie, cheat, and manipulate the staff who are all just trying to squeeze by.
0/10 would recommend and should b condemned.

Only grocery store in the whole area. Very expensive and not a safe neighborhood. We need more options around that are affordable.

10/10 service from Julie/Juliette (?) at the pharmacy. I have been struggling to consistently get my medications filled out of state as I travel for work- but she made it happen, even in spite of technical hiccups beyond her control. And she was so kind through the whole experience, so grateful for her and her customer service!

Kinda wish the wing bar was available here to do by the pound in the deli. I go to school and work nearby, yet there's never any wings in the bar... just bags and bags of chips... Disappointing... half the time the deli's hot food isn't even READY by at least noon... I don't understand. As a bonus, most of the Signature Select 2-liters are cleaned out and never restocked...

I cant believe that this safeway is smallest store in a high populated area in middle of five points. You cant load cash app cards. There prices are never up to date on the counters. There products are never in stock. There customer service skills are aweful. I went to customer service and everytime I go up there they make me feel like I bothering them to do there job. I know there making a killing here because its the only grocery store close to downtown Denver miles away from other stores. Someone needs to upgrade this store and there store employee's need more training for customer service skills. They have more security guards then employee's. Maybe if employee's would be more nicer then customers would not be so upset. Then they would not need so many security guards.

This place has gotten worse and worse. Now they have security with tactical vests, cowboy hats and BLUE LIVES MATTER patches. The store has been rearranged and there’s less goods in general. They won’t even do cart unlocks anymore
