Prices are higher here than most stores. Ex: a small bottle of sake is 9.99$ here and every other liquor store I’ve been to they’re only 5.99$ The staff was unfortunately very rude, Had one question about a bottle of wine if it had a dry or bitter taste. They acted as if what I asked, was completely out of the box and not their problem to help me.

Great service and everything but they ONLY take card which I'm pretty sure is illegal and just seems morally wrong , especially knowing the real reason they don't take cash. How about supporting the local area you're so proudly making profit off.

Left my ID in the car, went out to get it and the cashier shut down the store after I walked out to my car 10 minutes before closing time. And then saw me walking back up to the door and yelled at my partner and I.

Surprisingly great selection for a small-ish liquor store. There's a walk in beer cooler, wine, spirits, and cocktail mixers. The staff is really friendly too.

RiNo Liquor knowingly continues illegal activity. They do not accept cash. They continue their "cashless" transactions while being well aware that their policy is in clear violation of Colorado state law passed in 2021.I received a message from the owner detailed here:"Please note: Cash can in fact be traded to accepted form of payment on the premises, 24 hours a day 7 days a week."The owner's statement is entirely false and does not relate to ANY description of the law.Read the full law below:------------Retail Business Must Accept CashReference: HB21-1048 (law passed 2021)The law requires retail establishments that offer goods or services to accept United States currency (cash) to purchase the goods or services, but does not apply to:(1.) Establishments that do not have an individual accepting payment in person;(2.) Establishments that provide a device to convert cash into a prepaid card with no fee and a minimum balance of no more than one dollar;(3.) A transaction in which a security deposit is placed on a credit card or in which a credit card number is provided to cover unforeseen damages or expenses;(4.) a bank or credit union.A violation is a class 2 petty offense punishable by a fine of up to $250.----------To Recap:The owner's response:"Please note: Cash can in fact be traded to accepted form of payment on the premises, 24 hours a day 7 days a week." (FALSE)The actual law:(2.) Establishments that provide a device to convert cash into a prepaid card with NO FEE and a minimum balance of no more than one dollar----------So what we have here is the business owner Andrew Burton, who is either ignorant of the law or playing ignorant, failing to comply with legal business practices. The owner of this establishment is being dishonest and intentionally refusing to comply with Colorado state law HB21-1048.According to the owner, he wants you to go to the 7 Eleven next door, buy a prepaid card ($5-10), Activate it (Spend 5-10 minutes activating), add a cash deposit ($1-5 fee), happily bring the card to their business, purchase a bottle of wine ($15-30), leave feeling happy and pleased.(Please note: This is impossible. This 7 Eleven location sells NO prepaid cards to add paper money to any "acceptable form of payment" and they accept NO cash app deposits or otherwise, especially without requiring a "FEE". I have personally asked the employees and these type of "cash to card transfers" do NOT exist "on the premises".It's a huge lie from RiNo Liquor...)This illegally run business is outright and blatantly committing discrimination by not accepting cash.Finding an "acceptable form of payment" is completely unrealistic. We all know why they refuse cash as payment. It's obvious, that they are intentionally prohibiting certain people from entering their business. All this has to do is stop. There is no reason for the courts to get involved.I will explain below for the owner, so hopefully he can make some immediate changes.Begin abiding by the law, start accepting cash and be honest with the public and your local community. The ACLU and Denver city representatives have been made fully aware. We are also speaking with other businesses who practice cashless policies that also choose to discriminate. We have closed 1 business so far and have changed policy in 5 others since November 2022.There are changes we can only hope you'll make in good conscience before lawful actions have to be taken, including fines, etc.The business license and liquor license can both be revoked.
