If you're a minority you will be assumed that you're a service worker upon arrival. I casually walked in for a pedicure. An older lady with red hair started spitting out directions for Madison Cleaning assuming I worked for them. I am not employed by Madison Cleaning. Quite unbelievable and rude. Here's a tip of advice for the lady with the red hair-invest in common courtesy and treat each person with respect as you do with your older white clientele.

Yong Keefer is the most amazing hair stylist ever and I miss her so much (I moved too far). She is a genius with color, highlights, lowlights, and cuts! I went to her for 3 years and she always did exactly what I asked for and my hair looked just like the pictures I would show her. She's also very sweet and friendly. You won't be disappointed.

[Update 4/22: Tina called me this morning to apologize and give me a partial refund. I absolutely appreciate the attempt to make things right, but I do stand by my initial review. I feel like it would be dishonest of me to remove it.] Decided to visit for a mani-pedi yesterday based on the good reviews here. First impression was pretty poor; Tina made a negative comment about Asian nail salons while I was being booked. I regret not cancelling right then. When I arrived for my appointment, she was busy squeezing in another client and I had to wait 10-15 minutes (thankfully with my feet soaking instead of in the lobby) for my turn. Got French tipped shellac for my fingernails, regular polish for toenails. Toes look great, I'm very happy with them! The French manicure looks terrible. The actual colors chosen were great, and it's one of the few manicures I've gotten that didn't get lint trapped in them, but that's really the only positive. The pink pulled away from the sides of a few nails while being applied, resulting in a weird spidery edge instead of smooth. There's so much white on the tips that the nails feel heavy and blunt. The line between white and pink is wobbly and uneven, and the length of the white is different nail-to-nail. When I got home, I had to manually clean up spurs of shellac that had made their way under the nails or along the sides to stick against the skin. There is still a lot of loose cuticle skin that hadn't been cleaned up, making everything look even sloppier. All of this for the shocking price of $90, plus expected tip. I'm getting this fixed today. At an Asian nail salon.

Tina has a talent for what she does! She always make me feel special and pampered whenever I go in, as well as making my nails look fabulous. I love that she has a wide selection of colors to choose from and uses only the best products.

I've been going to Tina for years, and she always does a great job. My feet are baby soft after the pedis. She always has beautiful polish colors, and stays on top of the trendy colors and brands, including some of the more organic lines. She also cuts and colors my hair, and will polish my nails while the color is processing. I always look forward to seeing her, she is very sweet and kind and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.

There's a difference when you get your nails done by Tina, owner of Nails Etcetera. She uses quality product, so there's no cracking or peeling or lifting, if you're doing acrylics. She's knowledgeable about the health of your nails. Her attention to detail during a manicure or pedicure is awesome and it's an experience, not just a cattle call of "next". I would recommend Tina's services all day long, she's friendly, sweet, cares about her clients and gives an excellent manicure and pedicure!
