On May 4th, my beloved Grandmother passed away. Although she had prior arrangements with a funeral home in NY, we had to work with someone here in Denver to handle the retrieval of her body and the cremation, and we were put in touch with Mile High Funeral and Cremation Services here.
At 9:30pm, a gentleman by the name of Tony, showed up in a 3-piece, tailored suit. He was the absolute most consummate professional and was so caring and attentive during our time of despair. He showed my Grandmother the utmost respect and kindness. He had a single rose that he took and touched her head with and left the rose on her nicely straightened bed. He then took her body out to the vehicle. In the final surprising gesture, as the vehicle was pulling away, he played "Amazing Grace", in the bagpipe version as he slowly left with her. What a touching tribute. I was blown away at the attention to detail that was paid to my Grandmother and I during this unimaginable time.
Dealing with Austin, was also a welcomed interaction. He was helpful and kind and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to have been involved with during this process.
Thank you Mile High Funeral & Cremation Services, you FAR exceeded my expectations.

Austin just purchasing business in March 2024. Mom passed 3/4/24 I just needed a cremation because mom is from out of state. Took 2 weeks to get her ashes & death certificate. They actually delivered them to our house very nice. Still no obituary notice although I have emailed at least 6x. They said tech issues originally so I waited. Never received a reply email response to my last few emails. Tried calling - no answer. Understand transitioning to a new business is not easy. But need follow up and communication. Would like to get everything resolved - 2+months to post an obituary we wrote just takes a copy & paste function.

Experienced the most profound and respectful service from Mile High. The gentleman that showed up to take our beloved Nana, was dressed professionally, had a rose that he left on her bed (after straightening up her bed). Then while leaving the parking lot, played Amazing Grace. Hazard lights on. This was the ultimate sign of grace and respect. And we will be eternally grateful for this experience during a tramatic time.

When my brother-in-law died suddenly, the only wish he shared in his will was to be cremated after he died. We did a nearly exhaustive, thorough search of crematoriums that performed cremation in the Denver area. We ultimately decided on Mile High because of the comforting, compassionate & kind, understanding communications with Gerard, its owner. He offered us a simple, 'no frills' menu of his very reasonably priced services, which, as a bonus & relief, included his being the only person we had contact with - not different ones with each call. Gerard is truly a 'mensch' due to his consistent responsiveness & understanding of our wishes & needs. Gerard's Mile High Crematorium gets five stars because of all the aforementioned plusses AND because he agreed to think & act 'outside' of the box regarding some of our desires & requests. With Gerard, 'what you see is what you get'! A true-blue human being, for whom no question was a stupid question & no request was an unreasonable one. We felt comforted, trusting, & secure due to his decades-long experience - simply put: we were in good hands with Mile High & Gerard. Our experience was superb and, we hope, that when the time comes, you will feel the same.

gerard was absolutely amazing. we came from out of state for an unexpected death and he was so understanding and was able to get us a private viewing and finish the cremation all in a matter of 2-3 days because he knew how important it was for us to get back home. it was absolutely perfect for us and we can’t thank him enough for all he did for us. he took good care of my brother and had great communication with us. he didn’t try to tack on extra charges like we encountered with other places. it was incredibly cheap considering everything he did and the expedited cremation. he was very respectful of our tragedy. thank you so so so much we could seriously never repay you for all that you did.

Gerard the Cremator director was very nice , professional, and timely. In what was the most difficult time in my family he was able to configure and guide us through the whole process. I know my mother was cared for in the most respectful and dignified place. Also all the environments are so clean and sanitary . I’ll recommend this place any time!

You could not find a more competent and kinder person to help than Gerard at Mile High. He made the time of dealing with our sons cremation bearable in providing understanding of the process and keeping us updated along the way. I could not recommend them enough.

Mile High Funeral and Cremation Services was an exceptionally helpful service for me during a difficult time. Gerard guided me through the challenging process of transporting ashes, and in this case, internationally. It was his steadfast dedication to follow through with answers to all my questions that provided me the comfort and confidence to retain Mile High Funeral and Cremation Services. My father recently passed away and it was our first time going through this process and Gerard was very helpful and explained the process to me. I would high recommend Mike High Funeral and Cremation service. The only thing I would say is that for rosary or viewings it’s probably not the best place to have it done. Thank you Gerard
