This place saved my Life!! I had Two Years of taxes that I had been procrastinating doing, I had switched from 1099 to W-2 midyear and wasn't comfortable doing the taxes myself. Rosy is an Angel! She took all my paperwork off my hands and worries too! I was contacted that they were ready and finished in no time, and I'm receiving money back... What!?! Amazing!!!

Horrendous Experience with Incompetent Tax ServicesThe experience my wife and I have had with a particular Liberty Tax office shockingly poor. The extent of incompetence, miscommunication, and outright deception, we've encountered is unlike anything I've ever seen in professional services. Rosy (aka Kathy) should be avoided at all costs, and Liberty Tax does not stand by their guarantees.Here is a timeline on this fiasco:* June 28, 2023: We received unexpected bills from the IRS for my wife's incorrectly filed tax return. Immediately, we reached out for an explanation.* June 30, 2023: After initial contact, the response we receive is a vague assurance of action, yet no progress is made.* I dug through the tax return and pointed out the specific error in the return: a contribution to an HSA was wrongly reported, leading to unnecessary penalties from the IRS. I proved the error was on and requested an amended return, which Rosy failed to provide evidence of submitting.* July, throughout the month: Despite repeated requests for correction and documentation, we face evasion and unfulfilled promises.* August 15, 2023: We're told that our issue has finally been taken up with the IRS.* August 25, 2023: Rosie *lies* to us and says that she has resolved the issue with the IRS and we will be receiving a check in the mail.* August 28, 2023: Rosy *lies* to us *again* via email saying “There was no amendment needed; it was a system air. The IRS detected the air and they fixed it. Nothing else is needed.”* September 4, 2023: We downloaded our transcripts from the IRS portal and verify that she has not actually filed any paperwork to amend her mistake!* September 2023 to February 2024 — We periodically follow up with the local office, and the Liberty Tax corporate office, regarding this complaint and we are being ghosted. Not even a response!During this process, Rosy has been our main point of contact despite 'Kathy' being the official preparer on our files - a red flag for accountability. Continuous phone calls are pushed instead of written records, creating avoidable confusion.Corporate oversight was sought, but Liberty Tax's higher management turned a blind eye to our struggle, despite their own guarantees and the clear fault at hand.Now, it is March 2024, and our patience has been exhausted. We will be taking our grievances to the IRS's Taxpayer Advocate Service and the Better Business Bureau for the lack of professional integrity experienced.I have email records to prove every claim I made in this. Absolutely terrible experience.TL;DR: This Liberty Tax office mismanaged our tax filings, resulting in a months-long saga of incorrect HSA contributions and IRS penalties that the office failed to amend properly, despite repeated promises. Lack of accountability and refusal by corporate to honor guarantees has led us to take official action against the office's egregious service.
