This is a small museum that houses objects from late 19th and early 20th American movements such as Art Nouveau, Bauhaus, and Art Deco. Some truly exquisite pieces here. It also features paintings by Kirkland and showcases his studio. This is a gem, not expensive, and can be enjoyed in an hour, though you could spend an entire afternoon here.

This may be my favorite museum I’ve ever visited. It is relatively small, but the quality of their collection is incredible. Each room/gallery is a different era of design. It is centered around furniture, paintings, pottery, and functional art. The plaques + mobile guide have a ton of info. I went on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. If you are into design/architecture (esp. mid century/art deco) this place is a must-see!

I am glad I visited the museum. Lots of beautiful and fun objects besides Kirkland’s paintings. Absolutely worth stopping by and diving into colorful world of Vance Kirkland and other artists!
I would not recommend to visit it the same day as Clifford Still museum since they have different approach in displaying objects. To my taste, Kirkland museum is too busy , every room is packed with pieces of art and decorative objects.

An intimate space with exhibits, paintings, furniture, decorative objects such as ceramics, metal, glass, masterfully curated and chronologically displayed.. the highlight is Vance Kirkland’s fabulous work, and the studio he worked in. A must visit for art enthusiasts I think.

Great fine and decorative art. But don't be confused.. it's not Kirkland as in Costco brand. So you can't buy it in bulk. They do have hot dogs though

I only just discovered this little gem. The best part is seeing the original artists studio. So much great art and inspiration!

Very interesting location with a lot of history. There are a lot of works of art that you may see, as well as a brief movie that shows how they lifted and shifted a complete structure that was flipping. You should also ask for the 3D glasses if you go there. In this way, the dot art seems much more impressive!

Went on a school trip with my abstract painting class. It was awesome! The perfect mix between so much to see i couldn't get bored/run out of things to look at, but not too many things to make me overwhelmed and unable to appreciate each piece. Insanely interesting works from Vance Kirkland and Dave Yust, and the furniture/sculptures/various artistic pieces was a joy to witness and experience.
