Excellent recreation center. Big swimming pool, very decent gym and basketball courts. But the best is the staff. Welcoming, respectful and competent.

I love the rec center. It's the best place to go and stay active or sit and hang out at their lounge room. They are really nice and friendly there.

I went for information about their programs as well as which center had the facilities I wanted. Bella was extremely helpful. She marked specific items on their schedule. She gave me information about where to look online for information about other centers, enrolled me in their senior pass program.

This staff does not pick up the phone or return messages. The website does not post weather closures or postponed classes. You have to show up to determine if a scheduled session will occur. Frustrating to say the least.

I chose the $14/month local pass and for $14, this is a great deal. You can visit other rec centers too with this deal.As far as Hiawatha - it has a beautiful basketball court with a walking/running track above. The lap pool looks great and wasn’t crowded when I visited midday and there’s a lifeguard on duty. The fitness equipment room isn’t super expansive, but has everything one needs for cardio and a weight area. There are bathrooms with showers and lockers and they appeared very clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk was also very polite and helpful. Would recommend and am happy to have cancelled my other expensive gym membership when his has everything and more. Also, lots of parking.

Very friendly small neighborhood recreation center. Weights, pool gym available. Very clean and appears new. Ok, outdoor pickleball courts too.

Pool temp is normally kept 88-89 degrees. Horrible for lap swimming.

The people at the desk are friendly and always greet you, The center is nice and taken care of. Love the walking track!

This rec center needs new or better management. The pool is scheduled to open at 9 AM, and yet at least 5 times this year, I have had to forgo my only exercise because the pool will open late--10 am or noon--or not at all because no lifeguard or sometimes no reason given. Today the guy at the desk had not heard anything from anybody so could not even put a sign up. And signs don't help if you've already prepared for swimming and driven to the center. What gives with this place? Am I the only discontented one?
