I reserved a car on line and declined insurance, road side assistance and all extras. At check-out no questions were asked, other than to put in my credit card. He returned my check-out form and highlighted the costs. My bed, I didn't check it. He had added insurance and road side assistance back in, without my consent. After I realized, they refused to reimburse. These are deceptive practices. Another individual was complaining of the same issue while I was there.

This used to be a great location but has gone WAY downhill in the past year. There are constant waits at the airport for over 30-45 minutes at times. It's like they have lost 25% of their staff and are not replacing them. Many times you arrive and there are almost no vehicles available between Presidents Circle and Gold Rewards. If you cannot accommodate the amount of customers who rent from you, at least notify them of potential delays or stop renting. When people are traveling, the last thing we need are more delays. Sad to see this place go so far downhill. If you have an option, choose another company to rent from at the denver airport.

Make sure to take pictures and keep receipts.
Car and staff were fine but I was charged for gas after returning it full so someone is lying to boost their numbers.

I barely leave reviews, and mostly chalk bad experiences up to employees having a rough day, but my experience with Hertz in Denver was so egregious, I don't think it would be right for me to NOT say anything about my experience.
Days before I got to this Hertz, I reserved a car online and used my insurance to add protection. Once at Hertz Denver Airport, the agent asked if I'd like to buy additional protection. I told her no, because I already added it online. The only thing I added at the airport was "gas for $3.99" (she misleadingly said it this way instead of "gas for $3.99 per gallon). When I asked her to clarify the price, because it seemed to good to be true, she still omitted the per gallon part. Not completely her fault, I should have known better, but it gets worse.
I walked away thinking only the gas had been added to my reservation, because we explicitly said that and that I didn't need insurance, but when I returned the car later to a different location, I noticed the receipt looked way off. It went from $187 to $295. Not only did I obviously get charged $3.99 per gallon, the worker at the airport also added on TWO levels of insurance/protection, when I explicitly told her I needed ZERO.
She added on hidden fees and mislead me about the gas price and was counting on me to not notice. Luckily, they restituted it at the other location. However, I can't imagine how many times she's done this to other people and they just never bothered to check their receipt, like I almost did.
I will still continue to rent with Hertz, as I've NEVER previously had a bad experience with them, but I will avoid this location at all costs and double check my receipts now.
Still, giving 2 stars instead of 1, because at least they had plenty of cars for me to choose from.

I had the best experience hiring with Hertz in Denver Intl.
Upon arriving at the Denver airport, my family and I waited for transportation to the agency without delays. We arrived at the agency and they immediately assisted us and told us that we could choose any L4 type vehicle because we were a GOLD member. In a matter of 30 minutes we had the vehicle. rented outside the agency. The return was very fast and the agents were very cordial. I recommend it 100% and without a doubt we will rent with HERTZ again.

AWFUL customer service. TL;DR: Impossible to get in contact with personnel on any day, national line is useless, unexplained software errors caused unnecessary domino effect that should be simple to fix but aren't because of the 2 aforementioned items listed.
1) Friday early afternoon, I attempted to extend my rental from a Sunday return to a Tuesday return using a link provided in my rental receipt email. Upon using the link, I received an error message telling me I need to call instead. 2) I called the return location (Hertz at DEN airport) directly 3 different times and the national line once; each time I had to go through repeated automated prompts telling me to go back and do it online (which was the first thing I did) until ultimately I picked an unrelated prompt that would lead me toward being rerouted to an actual person (and it was never to someone at the return location). Each person I talked to (3 total) told me when they tried to extend, they saw the same message I got and so I had to go back in person. 3) I told them the return location is over an hour away in 1 direction, and I don't have time to do that before the scheduled return (2 days later on Sunday)... plus, that's additional mileage out of MY pocket anyway for unplanned routing. They told me I could go to any Hertz location to extend. 4) There were only 3 hertz locations within a 30 minute drive from my location: one was closed until after my return date (closed on weekends), one I went to and discovered they were really a remote-only location (a person hadn't physically been there to provide in-person service in over 2 years), and the last I went to only to find a sign on the door stating they were now closed on Saturdays (this wasn't posted anywhere online- also, it's worth noting that I ran into another individual outside of the door that was scheduled to pickup a vehicle from that location the same day! They left frustrated just before me). 5) As of right now there is only 1 location left within 45 minutes of my location that I have time to go to, and they close in the next 50 minutes. I could show up just to find out they are also not actually available to help. Horrible service for a simple rental extension.
Edit: I called a 4th time and was again rerouted to the company service line, explained my situation again, and the person told me the only other option I had was to wait until Monday when a local Hertz is more likely to be open and "hope" management there can waive any fees accrued by going beyond my return date on Sunday.

Absolutely worst car rental place. Staff will lie to you, and management is unresponsive. I was “sold” gas refill after some pushovers. Then, as I returned the car, I discovered that the sales associate never added it to my reservation so I was severely overcharged for gas. Although I had to catch a plane, I wanted to speak to a manager. They had me waiting. When the manager came, I had to rush to catch my flight which was going to leave in less than an hour then. The manager said she would review the cameras and contact me, which she never did. If you reserve anything at this location, please check everything on the reservation. Don’t assume what you’re being told is true or correct.

I rented a vehicle through my Chase Travel sight using HERTZ because I thought this was a reputable company. I however was charged an addition 356.58 for "liability insurance" in which I informed the guy who was handling my booking that I would DECLINE considering I ALREADY have that coverage through the Chase Travel Sight & I have great auto insurance on top of that.
So, Why am I being charged TWICE for something that was already covered through their partner Chase Travel. I am extremely unhappy, I have used HERTZ plenty in the past & planned on continuing to use; however, this is sketchy & does NOT add up. I need answers to why you would want to SCAM YOUR CUSTOMOERS? I would definitely use ANY other car rental over Hertz
- P.S. You CANNOT reach any person to speak to to ask what the additional charge is. I had to contact Chase Travel and have them contact HERTZ on my behalf.Yeah try to use their "customer support" website & continually get error message after error message. To simply receive a receipt I had to jump through many steps & the receipt was NOT detailed what so ever.

This location is the worst Hertz location I've encountered in several years of 40+ Hertz rentals/year around the world and the US.
I returned a rental that was picked up with a chip on the windshield. On return, the attendant tried to say the damage was new. I pushed back and he checked the records on his tablet. He confirmed that this damage was previously reported and not yet repaired and no incident report was needed.
Weeks later I receive an email from an Ashley N. Pfenning, an admin at this branch, that damage was caused during my rental and effectively coercing me to submit a fraudulent damage report or face penalties and loss of future service.
This is still ongoing, but be warned - this branch will scam and cheat - and I have every doubt they have billed several other customers for causing this damage.
The icing on the cake is the damage in question is a small (smaller than a penny) rock chip on the passenger side of the windshield outside of the field of view and they are attempting to collect payment for a full windshield replacement - that in itself is tantamount to fraud.
Avoid at all costs. I generally rent with Sixt in Denver, but didn't have the option to for this trip. Next time I'll do anything to avoid Hertz here.

The Denver Hertz customer service is 11/10. I’m in rentals more than my own car and Hertz is always the cleanest and best option. Thank you service manager Pamela

Professional staff, used Hertz Gold and was able to choose any car available (regardless of class) when I arrived, smooth confirmation of rental at the gate (with all the documents ready), smooth return at the end of the trip as well

My husband and I rented a ford mustang. Arrived on a Thursday and left on a Monday. Now, the check in link we revived 24 hours in advance? Didn’t work. Trying to get through to someone to confirm on the phone? Good luck. No one answers. That coupled with the reviews made me very nervous and I was prepared to lose money and rent somewhere else if it didn’t work out. That being said, we had zero issues picking up and dropping off the car. No one tried to oversell us on anything. We got exactly what we asked for and had no wait time.

First car was old and worn. I had to ask for another vehicle. But then it was remedied
