The prices are fair and they have a great selection of produce, groceries, frozen foods, and household supplies while remaining small and convenient. On my last trip I got mint, cucumber, limes, bread, beans, bananas, and diapers for less then $30”
“I always thought Uncle Bade was expensive in the past, but after visiting this store today, I suddenly felt that its prices are approachable!
The biggest feature is that it has a wide variety of health-oriented food, beverages, seasonings, etc. Basically, there are no general commercial brands, they are all more distinctive products.
I bought rice crackers for the first time in Uncle Quede 20 years ago. At that time, there were very few places to buy rice crackers and fresh clams. Uncle Quede happened to have them, so I bought them to try. Today when I was shopping carefully, I saw 20 The exact same thing I ate years ago is still on the shelf, I feel very touched! Obviously it’s delicious, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for it to still be sold for 20 years!
Every time I go there, I feel fresh. There are always things I haven’t seen before, and they keep up with the trend of healthy eating.
The only disadvantage is that there is no ketogenic diet here, so if you are following a ketogenic diet, there are basically no related packaged foods, and there is no ketogenic bread!
Another problem with this store is that there are very few water options. Basically all of them are sparkling water. There are only 1-2 types of non-bubbly water, and they come in large bottles. If you are suddenly thirsty and want to buy water, there is no way. Gotta choose. However, there are a variety of drinks on the shelves, both iced and non-ice, but most of them contain sugar. There are almost no sugar-free drinks.
Another problem is that although it claims to be a healthy diet, it is actually really difficult to find sugar-free food! Basically everything contains sugar, even dried fruits have added sugar. I think this is something that has not caught up with the times.
What’s amazing is that Uncle Bade now has its own cooperative wineries and wineries, so they post their own brands. This is quite amazing. There are many types of wine~

“I've been enjoying Marczyk's since they opened back in 2006, especially since Tony's (another specialty butcher/grocer) departed for the far suburbs. Marczyk is fairly unique amidst the sea of ordinary, boring grocery chains.This is a very pretty specialty grocery that offers a good-sized parking lot and a separate, but attached wine store. The grocery includes an interesting selection of dry goods, many of which are unusual or unique. There are excellent meat and seafood departments which specialize in premium products.There's a deli which offers sandwiches and has many prepared items plus a good selection of premium meats and cheeses. The produce selection is always great and there are bakery items, dairy, and a small frozen section including made in-house ice cream.Burger Night is a great reason to visit Marczyk on a summer night. The staff periodically sets up two huge grills out front and makes burgers from Niman Ranch meat, with or without cheese, and to your preferred temperature. Huge trays of lettuce, tomato, and onion are provided along with bottles of ketchup, mustard, mayo, and aioli. A great chance to sit at the tables out front and to make some new friends. Buy a ticket at the registers inside the store.I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. Pricing is high, but this is a specialty store with a focus on premium products.”

“Natural Grocers, formerly know as the Vitamin Cottage is by far the best of its kind in town. They only carry organic fresh vegatables and fruits.
The have a large selection of vitamins.
I have seen them discontinue many items because they dont meet their standards of quality or guarantee.
They have a decent frozen food section, good selection of breads, they also have a very good personal care area with maby detergents, shampoos, lotions, etc.
If you are looking for the best organically oriented supermarket in town, this is it.

“I started going to this halal store looking for meat to buy since my daughter stopped eating meat from the big box grocery stores. There was a switch of owners mid-summer at the Middle East Market. While the friendly service is the same, the store itself has gotten a makeover. The storeowner has cleaned up and organized every product, even adding more light. Each time I've shopped there, the owner or employees are working hard to make sure it's ready for customers. One example of their friendly service, I wanted Angel Kisses, chocolate covered marshmallow, and they ordered it for me from Chicago, and now they keep it stocked. Mostly, you will find lots of Middle Eastern products, like grape leaves, olive oil, and kunaffa, which actually tastes good for being packaged (Zalatimo brand). You will find frozen meat as well as fresh. If you're wondering if my daughter likes the Middle East Market meat, the answer is yes. Go visit! They're super friendly, just smile!”

“This is THE place to get injera if you want it, some of the other markets around Merkato sell injera too but not homemade injera, you can't beat homemade, plus there is full teff injera available which is rare to find at other Ethiopian markets as far as I know. The store is small but very organized.
