Kate was excellent to work with- she was very efficient and timely! She came over and measured and went above and beyond to help me select fabric! She also was extremely careful to get the best quality inserts made for our outdoor cushions to lengthen their life. The cushions look excellent! I would recommend Fabrikate in a heartbeat!

Phenomenal from start to finish!!!If you are considering working with Kate, or are on the fence, I hope this review helps you get to YES.I had the great fortune to work with Kate on roman blinds for our kitchen, living room, and dining room. All total, she made 2 large blinds that spanned 3 windows, and 4 for each of the windows on 2 of our French doors.The craftsmanship of these blinds is superior. I have had custom roman blinds made before, but not like this. This is perfection. You are working with a joyful, infinitely creative master.Practical matters: Kate responds to inquiries promptly, and stays in touch. She answers questions with patience and kindness. Payment is easy, as there are many options, and all of them are secure.Some project specifics: I found our project timeframe to be excellent. It was about a month from start to finish, which is faster than other options I considered, or past experience with other vendors.There was a scope change, and that was from me. I was so happy with working with her that I decided to spend my savings on another project! That's how delighted I was (and still am!)If there are any delays, she will let you know ASAP and will keep you posted on timing. For example, there was a bit of a wait (about 1 week, no big deal) for some parts for the blinds from the manufacturer. We all know that the postal service is slower since the pandemic, so if a bump like this should happen, know that the parts will be there soon, and that Kate will keep you in the loop about their arrival, as she did for us.While I have my own preferences about fabric, I really enjoyed showing my choices to Kate and getting her feedback. She will take as much time as needed to help you choose fabric and visualize the finished product.And the finished product is SPECTACULAR.Our beautiful blinds have kept our house (very stylishly) cool during the hotter days, and warm during our unexpected rain and snowfall. Our blinds have also changed our home for the better—they pull all of the rooms they're in together and together the rooms they're in and make our home feel finished, warm, and cozy.I loved working with Kate and am saving up for the next project. I can't wait to work with her again!! I hope you have the opportunity to do so, too!
