Cannot recommend this place enough! Owner was incredibly generous with his time - didn’t try to oversell us (we are new to buying nice knives) and educated us at every step along the process! 10/10. Element is THE place to buy quality knives. My wife and i have been on the fence about buying a new knife set for years but never had the incentive. We stopped by Element while on vacation during some downtime and Chef Elan took time out of his day to educate on not just the different kinds of knives how to properly use, care for, and store them. They have knives for every budget and Elan can pit together a set no matter your needs. I couldn't be happier with the experience and the quality of knives we purchased.

Chef Elan was very knowledgeable about everything he had in his store. Being from the industry, it was refreshing not to be pressured into buying something, rather he recognized what we were into knife wise and steered us in the right direction. Will be back for sharpening and anything new. We did walk away with 2 fresh Japanese knives.

Bought two knives, one chefs knife and a paring. Extremely sharp and can cut through about anything. Owner was very helpful at finding one at the right price point and giving care instructions.

Chef Elan knows knives, is passionate about them and his retail store shows that. Love the knife we just bought from him and plan on buying a new knife block in the near future. My significant other took a sharpening class from him and was very pleased with the knowledge he gained. Visit his new retail location on Platte Street (on the far right end as you are looking at the building). You won’t be disappointed!!

I have been wanting to purchase my first chef's knife so I decided to stop by here for some guidance. I did a lot of research on YouTube but I wanted to touch and hold some knives before purchasing. The owner was very helpful and informative and when suggesting knives, they were all reasonably priced. He recommended nothing too expensive since it's my first one. It was towards the end of the day but he was very patient. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. I still ended up going home with a knife and it has made cooking more enjoyable.

Here's the long and the short of it - Element Knife Company is the BEST choice for knives, accessories, and sharpening. Top-notch service, and amazing selection and quality.
The long version: We visited Element yesterday (Easter Saturday) and spent about 2 and half hours asking questions and examining/feeling almost every knife the owner had on the shelf. We truly appreciate that there wasn't a push to any one style or type other then staying away from the more restaurant style which he figured out pretty quickly wouldn't be a good fit for us.
After looking and trying, we settled on a few that were comfortable and when asking if we should get one or the other, (one was twice as much) he ran down the differences which ended up really being the price and brand. There was no push or added stories to select the more expensive knife - he truly wants his customers to have what's best for their needs.
We ended up getting 4 knives (he even softened the edges on one of the handles that we liked but had a hot spot), he packaged them all carefully and we were on our way. Once we got home and started cleaning to get ready for their first use, we notice one of them just didn't quite feel the same as we remembered in the store. Called up Element and he asked us to bring it in.
Sure enough, with the Colorado environment, the handle had effectively shrunk ever so slightly exposing the tang making the handle rough. He went through almost every matching knife in his stock to see if one was better, without success. At that point he offered one of the other knives we were looking at for an even exchange. To say the least we didn't expect that, but we couldn't be happier and will continue shopping and bringing our knives back for sharpening and maintenance.
It is very rare these days to find someone that is primarily focused on the customer and goes well above and beyond what is required or even expected. We strongly recommend you visit Element for all of your knife & sharpening needs - he is super knowledgeable and passionate about knives, and has customer's wants and needs at the forefront of his business model.

Very disappointed. Purchased & received a replacement knife handle. This knife handle did NOT come with 3 new replacement rivets —as should be expected with a —replacement—knife—handle. The owner responded that it is expected that the buyer would re-use old rivets associated with a specific type of Element knife —which I don’t have. Item description does not state “hardware not included”. I will buy nothing else from this website. Ever. Caveat emptor!
