I have used Door Specialties over the last few years at various times (replacing 2 garage doors, fixing several doors on a property and installing new garage door openers as well as fixing a spring. They have always been professional, timely and do good work. I felt that their pricing was reasonable and competitive with other vendors. I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing work on doors!

Paid for emergency response at 8am. Contacted the shop at noon to see where the tech was, woman who answered basically said he'll get there when he gets there. Tech arrived at 2:30 and after an hour he had to call in "reinforcements". Said they would be back the following week with new parts, but they never showed or followed up. Would not recommend Door Specialties. Go to Vortex.

We had an issue with the garage door, and the guy who came fix it was very nice and professional. He spent a couple of hours and fix the problem. We are all happy with their service. Thank you!!!

Biggest thieves on the planet, I trusted these guys to do a repair on my garage door that’s been having issues for months. After the repair was done I did not have a chance to immediately go to the garage and look after a couple days I went to check on the repair and park my car in my newly working garage only to find out my tools had been stolen over 1,000$ dollars in tools these guys were the last people in my garage I’ve never had issues prior to this and they are not returning what is rightfully mine or firing the tech that made the theft. I have proceeded to make a claim with small claims court but be weary of this company.

I am an HOA board member and we used Door Specialties to replace a garage door for our building's underground parking. The original door we chose was not safe for the building and got damaged by an attempted break in. We ended up purchasing a second garage door from Door Specialties. Our contract for the second door stated that Door Specialties would crate the first door installed and "actively attempt" to sell it to recoup some of the expenses incurred, this was signed in June of 2020. The value of the first door is $12,000, and we thought we could get somewhere in the ballpark of $6000 back. The old door has has been sitting in our garage for over a year and I can't get Ken Odette from Door Specialties to call me back or answer an email. I have personally left multiple messages, and called over 10 times to leave messages for Ken, or with Kathy (front desk) for Ken. Additionally, I have asked if someone else could get involved as Ken is clearly not available and Kathy left a message for someone named Marc. We have still not heard back after attempting to contact them since May 18th, 2021. They stopped communicating with our HOA as soon as they were paid in full. Our property manager has also tried to reach someone at Door Specialites on numerous occasions with no luck. The door is sitting there, losing value. Since they aren't responding to us I highly doubt they are attpemting to "actively" do anything. We will now likely have to pay to have the door removed. Super dissapointed.
