I don't know where I would be if it weren't for the crossing. Me and my two boys had our own room 3 meals a day. I met wonderful people that I'm still friends with to this day. I was in a two-year program but was able to move out in a year. Thank you Denver Rescue Mission.

Not the greatest choice if you are coming in with any mental health issues/accommodations. Or rely on stable/unrestrictive internet for your work (they do house people with and without stable income, though. It is decent enough if you don't intend to stay a full year.)

The Crossing program works. It absolutely changes people's lives for the better. They have staff there that absolutely cares about making a difference. Debi Roberts teaches career ready and it incredibly smart and helped me find not only a job where I could get back in my feet, but a career where I have the ability to attain a happy life and financial success that I otherwise would not have found. This place deserves all the credit in the world for what they do. I would recommend this place for anyone seeking a change in life.

My family moved into the Bridge program and so far it's been great and very clean.the rent is reasonable for our situation and it's hopefully our last step on the ladder to getting away from a 2 year homeless situation.

I'd never been homeless before, and never thought it could happen to me! But it did, and Denver Mission was SO CARING AND SUPPORTIVE, it moved me to tears. I was 74 at the time 4 years ago, snd scared, but they helped get us into a decent apartment that we're still in, and I am eternally grateful.

Good place to donate clothes to people who need it and will actually wear it. Even though it is far for me, I would prefer to bring my things here over a thrift store.

The people who answer the calls and direct calls are extremely rude, give a very bad attitude and don't care about their job. All they care about is a paycheck. My husband tries to call and ask a question about something and the person on the other end just snaps or has a terrible attitude towards him. The place is not very professionally run with people who don't care what happens to you. If you try to get in touch with the person in charge they never call you back or get back with you.

Denver Rescue mission on Smith Road is one of the best homeless shelters I've ever been to. The staff is nice and friendly except for the lady at that is a CP at night. She tends to put herself in places she doesn't even really need to. And doesn't even know the rules as a CP and just kinda roles with the punches with her job. She finds every excuse to write someone up and often is over very petty stuff that eventually you will find out is OK. Just not to her. Other than that the food is a alright place for people to eat at. The rooms are nice to where you can get on your feet, whether as a family or a single person. You can do a lot with this place and program, but you have to want it yourself.

My 20 year old grand nephew with a mind set of a 12 year old was kicked out onto the street after being admitted 2 days before, because he could not follow the routine which is one of the reasons why he was admitted. He is severely bipolar and you promised that he would get the help he needed. Also he is from the Mideast and is out on the streets of an unfamiliar city in Colorado.
