The nation’s oldest press club, started in 1867, with cheap drinks, interesting events, strong cocktails, a ton of history and old-school newspaperman vibes. Non-members totally welcome

The nation's oldest press club. You don't need to be a member to go there. Think Cheers. It is a classic bar with classic people.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. This is for the adults

The Denver Press Club is my second home. Whether you’re from Colorado or you’re in from out of town, you have the opportunity to see the oldest press club in the nation. Not only that, the press club has one of the top three bartenders in the Denver Metro area. Go check it out. You’ll fall in love!

Absolutely amazing location. Great atmosphere. Great bartenders. Cheap prices with a heavy pour. The place to go for conversation.

I stumbled on the Press Club in April 2022, and, I’ll admit, I was a bit intimidated at first by the historic building, the heavy green door, and the imposing plaque reading “Friends of Journalism Welcome”. But when I stepped inside, I immediately fell in love with the place.
I was greeted warmly, and I grabbed a drink to sit in the overstuffed leather seats by the fireplace.
When I learned that anyone can be a member, I joined, and now I’m there on a weekly basis for great drinks and even better conversations in an environment that prizes meaningful dialogue.
This place is a gem, in Denver and in the USA. You don’t have to be a member to stop in, have a cold one, and maybe learn something new. See you there!

What a wonderful little enclave, quite appropriate for an afternoon day in Denver. Great popcorn and incredibly friendly bartenders. And the main bar is comfortable in a very familiar way.

Wow! First time in the oldest establishment in the country. Listened to the savvy songs of Wil Alston! With the "Legend" herself, Lannie Garrett in attendance!

Somebody called it "a speakeasy for smart people." Take that as you will. One of Denver's last iykyk institutions in a city increasingly colonized by corn hole sports bars

Wow! The Denver Press Club is filled with history. The walls of the building are covered with pictures of great writers and their accomplishments and awards. This place was a hangout for President Eisenhower and many others visited. It's just awesome!

Nice private club for smaller parties. Bar and dining room on main level, poker room downstairs and large area upstairs good for a video presentation.
