Absolutely amazing. The colors of the walls and halls alone! Beautiful and informative, with just the right level of interaction. Will return!

I really enjoyed my experience here. The collection is amazing. The galleries are well organized and very educational. I wish the lightning was a bit better as it was sometimes hard to see detail on 3D pieces.
Bonus - plenty of easy to find restrooms and lightweight folding stools to bring through the gallery with you. A boon for my elderly parents. Worth the trip

This museum spans two buildings. One building has four floors of exhibits, the other has seven floors. Thoughtful and well-laid out exhibits that are not overcrowded with artwork nor people. Plenty of signage in English and Spanish explaining many of the pieces. Elevators to every floor. No bags are allowed inside, but there are lockers available for $.25 for the duration of your visit. We stowed two large duffel bags and two small backpacks in one of the large lockers and had room for more. Highly recommend the Denver CityPass for entrance to this museum and others in the downtown Denver area.

It was amazing there! My husband and I went to each level and it was like a blast from the past! Every piece of art had a plaque to describe the art piece! Very beautiful you'll have to check it out!

Far too much to see in one day. The variety of pieces, eras, and regions is spectacular - paying great respect to the cultures that are featured across seven floors and two buildings.
Upcoming collections and features make us wish we lived in Denver so we could go back again and again.

What an outstanding facility! Not only is the structure incredible, but it houses some priceless treasures. We spent around 4 hours here, which included a visit to the cafe for a break.
So much breathtaking artwork. Give yourself a minimum of three hours to explore the multiple floors and really read and enjoy the background of the artists. Truly something for everyone’s taste.

As a family-level member of the Denver Art Museum and a frequent visitor and donator, I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the museum gift shop. Over the weekend, I had an unpleasant encounter with a staff member, Miranda, which has left me reconsidering my membership status.
I had been eyeing a stunning $1,700 Kate Rodd/Xeno Designs garnet necklace for quite some time and finally decided to purchase it. However, when I asked Miranda for help, I was met with an indifferent and rude attitude. She seemed bored and uninterested in assisting me, rushing through our interaction as if she had better things to do. When I inquired about more details on the piece, she simply told me she didn't know anything about it and then mentioned it was time for her lunch break, clearly irritated by my questions. This lack of care made me reconsider my decision to purchase the necklace.
Though I didn’t purchase the necklace, I managed to snap a photo of myself trying it on, and you can clearly see how upset I was. The entire experience was disheartening.
It's appalling to receive such poor service at a museum gift shop, especially as a loyal member who intended to spend a significant amount of money. I left the shop without purchasing anything and am now seriously reconsidering my status with the museum.

It's an art museum. If that's your thing then it's probably great. One thing I did not like about the way they displayed their pieces is they had new (created less than 50 years ago) pieces in the same room as pieces from 3,000 years ago. It is fine that you want to display newer artwork but then let's have a timeline - older pieces to newer pieces. Don't throw a modern piece in the middle of the floor and surround it with 3,000-year-old pieces. It doesn't work.
