I really want to like this store but so far, have found only reasons to take away stars. My latest visit (today) resulted in being charged 22% more than the price stickers indicted. When I pointed out the discrepency, I was told that they'd raised prices but "certainly couldn't change all the price tags in the store". Prehaps putting up signage that everything is >20% more than marked might be a way to let customers know? Just a suggestion.
Every time visit there is some issue (being scolded for cutting down a piece of scrap glass I was buying so it would fit in my bag, being scolded for being in the wrong area (scrap area after i finished in the retail section.). It's unfortunate that as the only option around, it isn't an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely love this supplier. Customer service is A+ and their Choice brand products are wonderful. I recently switched from the top brand (expensive) solder to the Choice brand. I was hesitant because I did not want to fight the "waves" that can occur while soldering stained glass together, but my previously preferred brand was just so expensive. CHOICE BRAND OUTPERFORMED the top brand on every level. No more chasing "waves" at intersections, which is a huge timesaver. It also accepts patina better, you get a deeper color of black or copper. The solder lines were absolutely beautiful!!!! And it's nice to pass the savings on to my customers. Highly recommend D&L and their Choice line of products.

Much like other reviewers, I was surprised to find, after driving an hour, that D&L is by appointment only these days. And that it’s only 9a-3p M-F.Apparently, the only people who can shop at D&L are people who don’t have day jobs.I’m fully expecting the cut-and-paste response saying that there’s a workforce shortage, but in reality, that likely means they are paying their employees poorly and no one wants to work there. Charge customers a few more bucks for a sheet of glass and pay your cashiers a decent wage so that everyone wins.UPDATE:I took an afternoon off of work and bought a bunch of glass for a big project.The staff was amazing, kind and helpful to my fiancée and I. The selection is insane. The prices were expensive, but everything is anymore.I still think the hours are 1) nuts and 2) solvable, but I can't deny that it's an excellent store, once you can get in. I've upped my rating.

D&L's website allows for a smooth and easy shopping experience for their vast product line. Their customer service is supreme!

We have used D&L, as our glass supplier, for the past three years and they have always been accommodating, courteous and prompt. We have our studio/gallery in Iowa and they ship all our glass orders. We have never had any breakage. This is due to the careful attention they take to package our orders. D&L Glass staff are more than just employees, they are part of a team that cares about their artists/customers.

Staff is racist!!!! Lauren and Michelle are mostly on the phone spreading racism culture. They see an Asian coming to buy stock, they simply refuse to sell items saying it's is our company policy we can't sell you these items and accuse of false allegations. Don't go to this company they will ruin your mental health

I ordered some glass and supplies from D & L and really needed it for an upcoming festival. Somehow my order was lost and instead of getting on Tuesday I got a call on Wednesday saying they just found my order. Leslie in the shipping department called me and found a way to help me. There were a few things I really needed that I had the glass ready to put on before I left early Friday morning and she actually shipped them next day air so I could use them. So I can definitely recommend D & L for taking care of me. Thank you very much Leslie.

Good selection of glass, however very inconvenient and inflexible store hours. They have made their business exclusive which is their business. I’ll choose to take mine elsewhere.

Call ahead. Don't be in a rush at time of pickup even when ordering ahead. Friendly staff but they're in no hurry.
