Our dog does great here. We’ve had him stay several times over the last few years. Staff are very friendly and he always seems happy. We do recommend them and are thankful for this option.

I want to give a shout out to the manager at City Bark, Lodo . I had one minor concern and when I called today, she was incredibly kind and informative, made a note of it and thanked me for letting her know. My pup always comes back happy and exhausted after doggy daycare or boarding. I really do think the staff loves our animals like we do and knowing that she took the time to listen to me and not brush me off, reinforced my confidence in their care. Alfie will be back to play asap ❤️?

I had a standing reservation for over a week, and they texted me to cancel 40 minutes before, throwing off my whole day as I had planned it around taking my dog to daycare. They made it clear they don't want my business or my dog around.

Positive Note: My dog (Goose) is always tired from playing with friends all day, and seems consistently happy when I drop him off/pick him up. Staff are always kind and respectful.2/18 Concern: Goose was at daycare from 11:30am -6:30pm. He was never fed lunch or dinner. I noticed his food/treats container (labeled with his name) wasn’t touched or moved from the location it was placed when we checked him in. The staff was as shocked as we were. She was very apologetic which we appreciated. When we got home, Goose ran straight to his food bowl—which was a true confirmation that he did not eat throughout the day.Overall, we like this place—just really disappointed since he was probably hungry all day. I want to continue to trust this location however, after this incident, even though I’m sure it’s an honest mistake, makes me understandably wary.

Never got a call back about rescheduling my appointment for my dog. Might try the other locations.

I’ve had a hard time since moving to CO finding a good day care for my pup and so far City bark has been the best! My little girl can be anxious and you can see how much they really care about the dogs. after seeing a staff member hugging my dog on the cameras, i couldn’t be more appreciative!

Not impressed. My dog's first two visits seemed fine. This past summer he stayed with City Bark for a week and I got a text 4 days into the stay that he had been checked out. When I called, obviously concerned, the employee I spoke with let me know that they had a dog with the same name that had been picked up earlier in the day (different age, breed, size, etc). Instead of acknowledging it or apologizing, she let me know that she "probably wouldn't have caught her mistake" if I hadn't brought it up...I made a plan for a friend to pick my dog up early because I was concerned and called City Bark to politely let them know. When I finally got a hold of them, they let me know that they had never checked my dog back into their system (meaning that he was unaccounted for) and told me that the remaining days of his stay would be free (I asked for a confirmation of this in writing but they would not provide it). When I asked what credit card they would be charging they had another customer's card number on file, not my own, which they told me they charged, despite me telling them I had no association with that card. When I was able to look at my statement, they also charged my card. After my dog was picked up early by a friend, I went to City Bark to speak with the manager where I was told that no one could speak to me. I understand that they are a busy facility and do not want helicopter animal owners inserting themselves, but it should not be my job to call to make sure they still have my dog when I get a notification telling me he has left the facility. The entire experience has made me very weary to board my dog anywhere again, not to mention stress this situation generated. If someone had just apologized and recognized the issue, I likely wouldn't be writing this review. But the fact that I was treated like an irrational person for caring about my dog's wellbeing is what really upset me. Their staff genuinely seem to care about the animals staying with them, but that doesn't mean anything if there isn't any accountability.

Day-Care Review: Staff is very friendly and attentive. Access to indoor and outdoor space. They allowed us to tour the facility. Convenient location. My puppy is 6mo old and we're still in the training process. He comes back a bit wild and will pee in the house (he generally doesn't do this). I don't blame the facility though. I think it's just a matter of being in a wild environment, being allowed to pee inside there (concrete garage floor essentially). The staff can't possibly train and care for all the dogs they have at a time so we'll likely take a break until he's older and our training is more set.In the meantime, if I need day-care, I'll probably try to find something that can focus on behaviour as well as day-care. Again, I don't fault City Bark Lodo for anything! This is not the purpose or mission of this facility. The staff is really kind and attentive to both humans and dogs.

Very bad experience with a grooming appointment. Scheduled it 3 weeks in advance for noon dropoff. When we arrived I was told 4-5 hours, which seemed strange, but ok whatever. Then after 5 hours they tell me they need 2 more hours. They hadn’t even started yet! I say no and come to get him. I expressed my frustration and was told “the groomer had too many dogs today”. And whose fault is that? What’s the point of making an appointment?

I like this place! My friend's dogs have been going here for some time now and they are always so good at making sure the dogs are well taken care of. They have a swimming pool for the summer and lots of play space, both indoors and outdoors. I have been taking all of the dogs I dog sit here often so it was the first choice when I got my own pup, Ziggy. I will say, they struggled to be inviting and warm for a bit there at the front desk, but they have a new manager who is so friendly and nice, which I think will help them in that area. They have webcams which is nice, you can check in on your pup throughout the day. Centrally located which is nice and they are open a full day until 8pm. So you can drop your pup off and get a lot done!

They've had a lot of turnover on the staff over the last few months. We used to love bringing our dog here because the team loved seeing her and always knew when she was scheduled for boarding or a play day. Not sure what's going on, but most of those people (if not all of them) are no longer there. We had to do daycare two days in a row a couple of weeks ago, and on the first day, they only had one person managing all of the intakes when they opened (6:30 a.m.). It took 30 minutes to get our dog checked in for the day. The second day, no one was there when they were supposed to be open. We and seven others made rounds around the building to see if anyone was there, and it was empty. While not usually an issue, we've been told that they ALWAYS have someone on staff at the building, including overnight, in case of emergency. The fact that no one was at the building when they were supposed to open was a huge red flag for us, considering how much we usually board our dog overnight when we travel for work. We've stopped using this location during the day and have switched to someone dropping by our house through Rover for play days. For boarding... we're considering new places. I hope they figure out their staff issues soon.

City Bark is Moose’s favorite place to stay when he can’t travel with us. They always welcoming enthusiastically and take great care of him. We don’t have to worry about him when he is with them.

I think my puppy liked it ok, but she picked up kennel cough from one of her visits there. I understand that can happen, but it's still frustrating, as that meant a vet visit ($$), time away from other dogs, and fewer daycare options for a few weeks until she recovered. Also, their communication is not great. They suggest you text them since they are often not at the desk to answer the phone. That would be fine if they responded to texts, but they don't always do that either. During my puppy's first few visits, I texted asking how she was doing, as I was nervous with her being new to daycare and being around that many dogs at once. They either only responded after a follow up or didn't respond at all. Same issue with booking. You can't book same day appointments online, so a few times I texted asking if I could bring her in that afternoon, and I never received a response, even with a follow up. Keep in mind, they told me you could text to make an appointment. It's frustrating to not be able to get through to anyone to book a daycare appointment when you can't do it online. Sometimes, things come up last minute and you can't always book in advance. You also can't tour the facilities, which seems odd, and the lobby entrance smells pretty bad. I get there are numerous dogs on site, but it makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the facilities. The lack of communication and other issues I mentioned are enough for me to go elsewhere.

My pup loves coming here, it's always clear he's had the best time when we pick him up. We've used boarding services and doggy daycare. It's really nice being able to see him having a blast on their webcams. They're definitely busy, especially at pick up times, so it's hard to get them on the phone and sometimes you have to wait a bit when dropping off/picking up, but they're great. And it's clear they really care about the dogs they host.
