Back story here is that this is my fourth merger. First Federal bank was the first bank that me and my wife started our accounts in 1997 in Denver, CO. Then in early 2000 Commerical Federal bank took over our accounts. About mid-2000 Bank of the West took over our accounts. And now BMO (Bank of Montreal) will take over till the next merger. Geez.Bank of the West has been good to me and my wife with our accounts. I didn't like their loan or mortgage departments tho. Got my mortgage thru Navy Federal credit union. Anywho, what I didn't like was when I moved to Minnesota in October of 2019 that Bank of the West closed two locations close to me where I live now. The closest location was like 11 miles one way. I have been using their mobile app instead of going to the nearest location. Now, that BMO is taking over the closest BMO branch is now 5 miles away from my home which is more convenient. Just hope BMO is just as good as Bank of the West was? Only time will tell.

Bank Elsewhere!!! Bank contracts out underwriters, almost 3 weeks late on closing home loan. Not a bit of urgency leaving families homeless during holidays!! Worst experience ever!!

I am so happy I choose this bank! First off I want to thank Dee for the great customer service! She walked me through the process and explained everything that I needed to know with opening my account. She even called me a few times to check and make sure I am happy with my account and to check to see if needed anything. Thanks Again Dee!

I have had some good service with this bank in the past, but was disappointed to have had an encounter where the manager was extremely irritated with my request for help regarding two business accounts that moved from “no fees” to fee-heavy. I will have to consider moving my money elsewhere as I just don’t want to support a “service” business where customer service and keeping your word is so subservient to corporate policy and profit seeking.

Very disappointed in the service from Bank of the West in general. Communication and follow-up needs improving. I will be taking my banking elsewhere.

This is the worst banking center in Colorado. I can't believe the standards for banking employees is so low. The male service manager is absolutely incompetent and I've never even met the actual branch manager. She hides in her back office and avoids anyone in the banking center. I have closed my accounts because of the university hills branch.

I always receive first-rate customer service at this branch and excellent service, in general, from Bank Of The West. Been banking at University Hills for 12 years, never experienced a problem. Kudos to the staff! Thank you!

Friendly and kind staff. Dee was especially understanding and patient. And although I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with the loan department it is in no way a reflection of the customer service.

The Colorado Boulevard branch is the absolute worst bank I have ever dealt with. Specifically Dee is horribly incompetent. First of all I have been banking with these guys for years, I do a fair amount of business through them. Went to cancel both my business and debit card because they were lost and explained to Dee I needed at least one of them rushed since I had zero debit cards and they don't offer temporary cards. She actually charged me the $25 "rush fee" that no one has ever charged me before but OK I guess I'm at your mercy. Supposedly that rush fee gets me my card in 2 days. Ordered cards on the 5th of December and still didn't have any cards. So went in to my favorite branch which is far from my house since I moved and found out that neither card had been ordered. So I had to reorder them. Ugh!! Fast forward to January 3rd walked in to that branch to get a money ($5) what a joke and was told they had to know "who it was being made out too" it's a $49 money order and I didn't have the specific name of the company so never mind I guess. On the way out I stop and mention to Dee (the banker that supposedly ordered my replacement cards) that those cards never got ordered and this is what she said "I remember that, there was something wrong with the way WE ordered them so it didn't go through" wait are you kidding me? WE? Pretty sure it's your job to fill that info out on your computer screen so WE didn't do anything wrong YOU did it wrong and then didn't even bother to notify me or make a correction. So you remember it didn't go through but you didn't call me to make me aware? Are you kidding me? So I'm anticipating my new card in 2 days and you make zero effort to reach out to me to get this corrected? WOW if she worked for me I would have fired her on the spot! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

I switched to this bank cause it's close to my work and was told it was a good bank. Since switching I've had nothing but issues. My debit card will regular get rejected because of an "invalid" pin number. Everytime I go in to change it, a few weeks later the same thing will happen. I told this bank what was happening and they said it could be the store's chip readers, which it isn't cause I can't even use an ATM. I just got a new card in the mail but I cannot use it till I change my pin again. My information wasn't stolen as there has been no suspicious activity in my account. If this continues I'll have to switch to a better bank.
