I opened a BMO account after some marketing promising $300 after 90 days with direct deposits. Instead, after depositing a paycheck my funds were frozen for over a month, with BMO claiming they needed to verify there wasn’t fraud with the check. This was not only insulting and inconvenient, it was distressing to have them “hold on” to my money with no recourse, and little information as to what was going on with the “investigation.” During the time I spent watching my locked funds, I found that BMO’s technology (app, website, etc.), is severely behind when compared to the big banks you can think of, they also don’t offer early deposit for paychecks as many banks do. Finally, despite plenty of locations in the Denver area, the management is poor and the employees are rude and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and stay away from BMO, they can’t deliver what their marketing promises.

It's not a good experience at this bank at all. I went to cash a check given to me by a bmo customer. The there was a male teller there that resembled prince Harry. He told me the cost to cash the check was $10. Horrible pricing so I said I would just go to my bank. He said have a nice day (N word). Very racist and rude staff.

The tellers at this branch were so incredibly rude. The manager was loudly discussing a discrepancy with another teller so much that the teller and I was so distracted and then when the manager came over and was rude to me told m3 false information multiple times and corrected himself after I had questioned it and although I had the intention to deposit a very large check I was so disappointed with the lack of customer service that I walked out. Not currently happy with how the changes have been made with the company transition

This bank is horrible. Your better off hiding your money in a safe at home. Everytime I call customer service the automated service says "sorry longer on hold wait times". This bank is Awful. 47 min 53 seconds. Tonight and all of a sudden the phone hung up.
This bank is poorly staffed and the customers pay for the incompetency. ?♂️?♀️
revised: 09/08/2022 I was at work I made a purchase and went to lunch and my card was declined for security reasons - I called this branch to find out why the transaction was declined, the teller said "what do you want me to do".
That "I need to call customer service". I said are you kidding. e. She went ballistic on me. Screaming and yelling. This teller is a lunatic and is not a sane person she does not belong working around humans or animals for that matter, she is volatile and rude, she can not control her behavior very angry', outbursts, 3 times now and she might hurt a customer. She said "Don't you ever come in this bank again", and than hung up on me. Oh boy today topped all this off. I paid my Colorado tax revenue $50 and my account had sufficient funds I also paid $2 to the Colorado revenue. On the 13th they returned the $50 paid the $2.00 I have $48.78 currently in my account they returned the $50 for $1.22 NSF. MAN THIS BANK IS BAFFLING. Bank at a credit union.this bank sux.

Replace your atm! I don't know how many times this thing has been out of order or cannot dispense cash. What's the point of a bank atm without cash that causes you to incur fees at another atm!? Ridiculous. The thing is broken. Get rid of it.

Terrible customer service. Jamil was horrible! Never use this bank! They don't even allow you to online bank, you have to go into the branch once a month! It's insane!

The customer service I get here is seriously the reason I stay here. I go out of my way to come here for the way I get treated! This bank has helped me many times and have gone out of there way to help me! Especially Chris. I'll keep going to this bank because of the staff that works in this location!

These tellers are RUDE. If I am in the branch to conduct one transaction, at what point is it appropriate to inquire about other transactions in other accounts? Between that, and the general lack of discretion, it will serve you best to patronize another institution with your funds.Besides, BOTW just bought out by a bigger Canadian bank, so best to do it now anyway.

Upset teller complaining about co-workers and having to deal with customers while I stood at the counter. How awkward! I felt really bad for his two co-workers who just kept on working quietly while he ranted on and on and on. A professional attitude would be appreciated.

Like Caitlyn Barone, I'm amazed that this bank is given such poor ratings. I'm a local & have been banking there for 13 years and have never received anything less than professional, friendly, efficient, service at all levels, be it making a deposit, or discussing a loan. There have been occasions in this period when there's been a line and I haven't made it to the counter immediately on entering the bank, but I've always been served as soon as is reasonably possible, and it's very seldom that there are any more than 1 or 2 people ahead of me. I should say that I do most of my banking electronically, so I don't go in to the bank more than possibly 4 times a year, so I'm by no means on first name terms with all the staff, so my perception of the level of service is not warped by my receiving preferential treatment based on my relationships with the staff there. My wife and I were in just this afternoon to deposit a check, made out to both of us... but we have separate accounts. We were given a clear and detailed description of how the check would be processed, and a list of options we had for dividing the proceeds between our respective accounts once the check is cleared, together with the exact dates we can expect the funds to clear. What more could anyone want in terms of service? On a philosophical level I'm pleased not to be banking with one of the mega, too big-to-fail banks, whose look-out is to their shareholders and NOT to their customers. I like to think that my experience with Bank of the West is that first and foremost it cares about me as a customer.

I have given multiple chances for them to adhere by their own promotion rules. I didnt even use my card and there are MULTIPLE OVERDRAFT FEES when the promotion was I only had to keep 5 cents in there come to find out my account was closed too....

I work for a local title agency and called this location late in the afternoon the day before a rush closing looking for assistance in getting a payoff quote . Nancy Boldisar & Carlos Ramos went above and beyond to assist their borrower and myself in getting what we needed as soon as possible. My experience has been that most banks will not work as quickly as the two of them did to assist with matters like this and I have never seen anyone be so vigilant about helping their client . I cant thank either of them enough for their hard work !
