Every Alta store in Canon City is out of diesel, at least a week that I know of, and now only have low grade gas for sale. Seems like a good business model gas stations that doesn’t sell gas!!

The location at the Big Daddy's diner in Canon City is a joke. The diner is no longer there and the store has gone completely downhill. They can't keep employees. The employees they do have are rude. The employees are overworked, under trained, unprofessional. The employees talk about issues with other employees on who isn't doing what in front of customers, they're never fully stocked, they're always dirty, at night no one is hardly at the counter due to continuous smoke breaks every 15 minutes for at least 15 minutes. The night people always have their friends in, they're always playing personal music from their phones, when you ask about stock they blame it on others or say they never got a truck in. The ice machine is always down. I avoid this place at all costs unless I want Subway or to use the ATM. Other than that I take my business and money elsewhere.

The employees are exceptional. Courteous and polite and helpful. They all work hard and are like a family. I wish Alta would have some coconut water there. The coffee is fresh and the store is clean. I suspect the employees take a lot of S*** from the extremely rude customers that frequent the store but they remain polite and courteous. They aren't open as late as they were previously. It's pretty busy here but the employees are fast and efficient

I had no heads up they were going to fire me! The district Manager treated me real bad. She talked to me very rude on a daily, It made me feel very uncomfortable. Then I had a fraud though the incomm machine and incomm told me they stopped the process. Three months later I went to a church conference for three days had everything covered. I came back Monday morning she said she had to let me go because the incomm got charged 1000 dollars. Why would she tell me this three months later? I feel like it was a lie they showed me no paperwork to prove this. I truly feel like this was discrimination because I am a Christian.

My husband and came to the Sidney Ne store today to purchase gas. My husband used our credit card at the pump. The pump shut off at $15.00. Wee were told the patron before us prepare for $15.00 worth of gas. My husband was asked if he was going to pay the $15.00, and responded, "of course, we pumped the gas so of course we will pay for it." working as a clerk in Salida Colorado for a good time in service. my boss Mona and my dist manager Heather took great care of me and looked out for me in many ways. I grew as a worker and gained respect from my community and Alta sadly I had to leave my position but I want to thank Heather and Mona and Scott and his assistant and Denise for everything they did to make sure I had everything I needed and just to check up on. thank you for giving me the chance and opportunity to allow my hire.

As a follow up to my original review, this company still has not made necessary changes, I’m surprised they haven’t been sued for bullying and or discrimination. Maybe I should dig deeper instead of relying on my personal first hand experience.

Employees should be excited to work at any location, but some locations in Canon City, CO have varying degrees of inexperience from nervous to just a lack of concern for customers because they may be overwhelmed or tired. None of the Exxons have staff that promote the Rewards+, it seems more like an afterthought. Stores are full of merchandise but still running out of many important things.
