Walked in the door and was immediately asked what I wanted, when I said I was looking for a new fiction book, I was told to leave and come back when I knew exactly what I wanted. Atrocious business.

Bizarre, off putting business model as others have mentioned. Maybe I should just use Amazon

Well that was... weird. My wife and I saw this place while checking out local stores , and it looked fun so we popped in. We were immediately stopped and asked if we knew what we we wanted. We gave our usual "not really, just looking around for now." And the owners replied sternly "If your not going to give us a sale, we need you to leave. We have some waiting in the alley and we need you gone." This as we walked in the door, mind you. I don't know what's going on there. Money laundering? Drug dealing?? A cult??? Whatever it is, it gave us the creeps. There are several other good local book stores within a couple miles of this one. Maybe try those ones instead.

Wow.Maybe they want to recreate the feeling people got from the snobbery of Pretty Woman.Maybe they hate people who want to spend money in their store.Maybe they are secretly stashing runaways.Maybe they want to go out of business.Definitely the rudest store I’ve ever been in.Glad I got to spend my money on small businesses who will stay in business.

This is a front for some kind of trafficking.

I came in with friends and the person working warned us about pulling out our phones to look up prices before we were fully in the door! I had no intention of doing that. No hello, nothing. On top of that the selection was terrible.I’ve never set foot in the place again. Unbelievably rude.

Something incredibly shady going on at this place. Whether it’s money laundering or like, a secret brothel in the back. Someone needs to investigate this place. If you’re going to be a front for shady activities it might be important to, and I’m just spitballing here, run a functional operation so any regular Joe Schmoe off the street can’t sniff you out immediately. Don’t come here for anything unless you are being a sleuth.

Whats the point of a brick and mortar store if people can't come in and browse? If you had a legitimate online business, you would just need a warehouse. We know you're a money laundering front, might as well confess at this point LMAO

Looking to browse? Nope. You can look at cards, but any additional shopping you must know EXACTLY what you are looking for…or you will be referred to the website address by the front door. So rude that I’m shocked they aren’t out of business.

Walked in to grab a book for my wife and took my phone out to call her and ask if she wanted any other books. Staff immediately came up to me and tried to take my phone away! Legitimately almost called the police. I walked straight out of that place.

Lollololol.I wasn't going to write a review but the comedic relief I am experiencing from reading others reviews is enough for me to want to contribute. We stopped in with our baby to look for a book or a new toy and had the same experience as others.. We were immediately told "We don't allow looking around" when they asked why we were there. I think I laughed out loud because I was sure that she was joking. I'm not sure how a business on 32nd Ave. can afford to turn down sales. It's definitely the most odd of business models that I've ever encountered. Might go back again, just for fun.

Terrible experience with this bookstore today. Please know the owners micromanage your every move, make you feel uncomfortable for just being there. She treated my children terribly and I am irate that the owners made them feel like they were doing something wrong FOR LOOKING AT BOOKS. This is NOT A BOOKSTORE. Please don’t advertise yourself as a bookstore. This is not a friendly place to be. Avoid.

Weirdest vibes in Denver. They locked the door behind us when we walked in, then did the whole paranoid phone thing before kicking us out because they "had an appointment." Check out the wizard's chest!

I think the authorities should look into whatever these weirdos are using this store as a cover up for. A book store that doesn’t allow people in? Freaky . Check out Westside Books down the street, lots of browsing opportunities and great staff

My son wanted to go to check out books so we popped into this store. A man stopped us at the front and said they are not open for browsing because they are busy. This seemed to be false. There was no one else in the store. The man was very rude and upset my son. Truly the worst—and strangest—experience in a store I’ve ever experienced, particularly one that bills itself as a kid store.
