If steak is your thing, this is your place. My wife and I cannot afford $40-plus steaks at restaurants more than one or two times a year, and I've become leery of what we'll get when we do go out for a steakhouse dinner. At Homestead, we can split a ginormous, boneless ribeye for $23 or so, and it is definitely a cut above. I don't know if the beet is choice or prime, but it is fabulous. Take the money you save and buy some of their locally sourced cheese, which comes in dozens of varieties. Add a good Cabernet, and you'll have a $200 meal for $40 and no tip!

Homestead “natural” meats adds MSG, red#3 and sodium nitrate to their polish sausages - hardly natural. Not bad tasting but disappointed in the ingredients. Didn’t think to look until I got home with them - won’t be purchasing again

Excellent beef, I buy often from them- it’s all mountain grass fed beef and of the highest quality.

Bought a beef processed at your plant. The steak and roasts are wonderful but the hamburger is almost rancid. Wonder if it gets ground and mixed with other peoples meat. Very nice job wrapping!

Used Homestead Meats two years in a row. 2021 and 2022. First year bad but not as bad as last year. We get call meat ready happen both years meat thawed out. 2022 show up pick meat up with our deep freeze in back of our truck, guy brings boxes of thawed meat out. We were told by manager he delivers to Loma. Lady calls from Delta she gassing up, shows up in 100-degree weather whole beef loaded in her SUV, mention to her thought you would show up in freezer truck. She proceeds to tell me she had air conditioner on all the way from Delta to Loma. She was in big hurry throws boxes out, most likely did not want me to see bloody boxes. We cook rump roast on our smoker for several hours go to cut it big bone. Thought second time using Homestead would be better .. OMG worst. Never ever again . For anyone looking for a processing plant look else where.

My wife and I purchased our first 1/4 this fall and received it in Nov. Absolutely cannot beat the price or quality. We have used several pounds of ground beef, 3 roasts and most recently two Chuck Eye Steaks. They camm them the poor man's ribeye but I can tell you they were as tender as and tenderloin we've had in years, nicely marbled yet very lean. Very very happy with our experience and the customer service we have received. We will be back for more!

My father was a meat cutter, and taught me the cuts of beef. I watched the processing of hanging sides since I was 4 years old. I had 1/2 a steer cut up and packaged by Homestead. I told them I wanted everything except the kidneys, and to not grind up anything that could reasonably have another purpose. I picked up seven boxes of packaged meat. Turned out two and one half boxes were ground beef. I had no sirloin except a tip roast, and only 3 lbs. off of the round. I calculate there should have been one more box, containing meat from the sirloin, the round, and the rest of my rib steaks. Since I did not take an immediate inventory, I can't prove any shortage. The trimming, cutting, and packaging was excellent. I am giving them another chance this year. I formerly only took animals to packers who did not sell cut meat retail.

They have moved their retail outlet to the shopping center to the south of City Market near the Dairy Queen. Their meats and selection are very good but their pricing pushes it a bit. Still, you can't go wrong buying here.

Drove from Moab UT to Delta CO to pick up our beef ( that should say ala right there, 150 miles ) we were greeted with professional people, as my wife paid, I meet the gentleman that brought the boxes of meat out, double checked to make sure I had my entire order. We loaded up our freezer that we bought the day before and headed home!Cooked up a couple of steaks and they were excellent...as good as any beef I've had in any high class restaurant!Thank you Homestead Meats!Customers for life George and Darla P.

Had a steer processed here. Steer was from a farm we buy quite a bit of meat from so we know the quality. I’d give them minus 1 star but my review keeps disappearing.Meat was very inconsistent, most of it being very freezerburnt and mildly rank (it would stink up the whole house when you cook it). I eat a lot of game and enjoy some grass fed beef; I have good idea of the taste of meat with a lot of omega-3 and this is not that taste.Prime cuts were very light- 2 small packages of ribeyes in a side that has no prime rib roasts. We did receive an exceptional amount of hamburger that tasted like the fat/suet had turned. The burger is very inconsistent; some is palatable and some is dogfood, the only thing consistent about the burger is how weirdly fine it is ground, so fine it’s gross. On top of that many of the steak cuts had trauma on the edges.I called and asked about hanging weight vs. cut put up and was shrugged off; when I asked about the possibility of someone else receiving my meat and myself theirs, I was again shrugged off. I’m not sure how meat that had been in there such a short period of time could be freezer burnt and of such low quality.Bottom line: something stinks in this meat shop and it’s more than the meat.Photo: weird trauma meat looks like it was tenderized, wrapping was labeled “sirloin”

Not retail, this is the processing plant. But order your 1/2 if beef or whole pork, cut just as you like. Wonderful team.

Homestead Meats processed our hog we purchased from a rancher (Colorado Pasture Pork). The processing quality is excellent. I like how everything is packed and labeled. Very easy to store in our deep freeze. When I have called Homestead with questions, they have been insightful and helpful.
