Green old hospital. Super interesting and an experience to stay there! The boiler room tavern is awesome ?
Nearby activities: Restaurants and museums, a train ride! All within walking distance from the St. Nick.
Walkability: It's uphill, but beautiful views are always from up high.
Food and drinks: The Boiler Room Tavern is awesome. Fun little place. Pool and a light food menu are an added bonus!

Very enjoyable stay. The Victorian atmosphere was excellent. The beds were comfortable though they had a dip. We will stay again, though not in the room with the detached bathroom. The extra $10 would have been worth it

We were exploring the area during the peak of the leaf-changing season and truly loved our stay at the Hotel St. Nicholas. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality exceeded our expectations.
If you stay here, you must have a drink in the boiler room bar! Also, be sure to take the train ride and visit Rita the Troll in Victor.
Nearby activities: Historic train ride and 15 min from Rita the Troll.
Food and drinks: Must eat at the District Kitchen. Great food and sports watching.

Stay was absolutely perfect for us! We were in Room 18 and I enjoyed a nice soak in the tub! The sheets were like laying in gold! Please tell me what kind they are as they were so buttery soft! We will surely visit again! Thank you!

I loved my short stay at Hotel St Nicholas! Staff was kind and helpful, my room was very clean, and breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed getting to peak into the open rooms to see the unique decorations. I will stay here again!

I had no expectations when coming here, but once I arrived, it was more than I expected. Received a guided tour from the hotel manager and history of the location. To add to the stay, there is a small, friendly, and cosy bar, attended by the hotel manager.. when made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are well kept and what you would expect from the period of the hotel. There are modern ites such as satellite TV, microwave, and refrigerator. Overall 5 stars for the experience.. as for the gohsts.. you will ha e to see for yourself!

Such a cool, beautiful spot a street back from the casinos! This would be a great spot to have a friends gathering, where everyone can get their own room, all of which are unique and have a story. Cute little bar and separate gathering room with a pool table, piano and various seating options to hang out. We will definitely be back.

You get what you expect here with the exception of poor customer service. I did not stay for two nights I originally reserved due to car trouble and instead of refunding me they charged me for 2 nights when I never stayed there. Pretty much stole my money. Billy, the inkeep is outstanding, but whomever manages this property is out of line and I will never stay there again. Hope the $320.00 was worth losing future business.

I stayed at the hotel for four nights in May. The hotel is both beautiful and historically authentic. The rooms are appropriately old fashioned, yet very clean and comfortable. The main floor, including a bar and billiard lounge, is a wonderful place to socialize in the evenings. The Progressive Era history effuses every facet of the space, particularly the interior design.
Located on a hilltop, nearly the entire city of Cripple Creek is accessible by foot or car within minutes. The parking lot is small, but I never saw it crowded and had no trouble.
The owner is kind, professional, and attentive to your needs throughout your stay. It was a pleasure to work with him.
In summary, I was highly pleased with my stay. I intend to return to the St. Nicholas whenever business brings me to Cripple Creek in the future.

Such a wonderful, quirky hotel. The staff were about the friendliest we have ever encountered. The tavern was so fun and lovely. The rooms were clean and quaint. The view is unfortunately obscured from the eye sore big casino, but that's not the hotels doing. Would definitely stay again!

If you're looking for a place to stay with some history, this is it! My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel St. Nicholas. We reserved the infamous room #11 hoping to experience some of its past occupants. Although we didn't have any personal experiences worth making note of, we really enjoyed our stay. The gentleman working the check in counter, I apologize for not getting his name, was very friendly and took some time to give us a quick tour detailing the Hotel's history. We visited the boiler room tavern before heading off to bed where the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming - the bartender was very friendly, and the drinks were GREAT! 5/5, we'd recommend!

My wife and I stayed here a few years ago when the casinos started opening back up after covid. It is a very unique hotel with a spooky history. It was featured on one of those ghost hunter tv shows a while back. They play that episode on a loop in the hotel bar. One of the rooms that is most haunted was the operating room when it was a hospital. Definitely haunted. I would recommend it to everyone, especially if you like haunted places.
