Eclipse was beautiful and rangers were very helpful at the visitors center

Worth a look see. The visitor center was closed, but had a paved trail to the ruins at the top. To see more of the canyon had to drive more miles then we had time for.

Trail was extremely well marked. This was a beautiful experience. Highly recommend for horse back riding.

About Canyons of the Ancients National Monument
DO NOT USE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED BY GOOGLE MAPS. These are inaccurate and do not provide legal access to the Monument. We are working with Google to correct this issue. For directions, we highly advise visitors stop by our Visitor Center and Museum, which is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Center is located at 27501 Hwy 184, Dolores, CO 81323. On days the building is closed, information, maps, and brochures are provided at the kiosk out front.
