Tara is absolutely the best . I have never really liked my hair I've got an extensions now and she has created a monster . She is so professional the place is absolutely wonderful. She's done a wonderful job decorating . She's always listens to what I want exactly done . She is completely Fair . I am 100% understanding of the cancellation fee . She was so sweet and gave me one free pass . But I am fully understanding that next time if I do cancel before the 24 hours that I would be charged half price which most companies do . But the fact that she gave me one free pass just means so much to me. She is completely professional I strongly recommend if you're not satisfied with your hair to go in and see Tara she is absolutely amazing

I’ve personally observed complete lack of respect towards the owner, Tera’s loyal patrons. Where I come from we do business a heck of a lot different and take pride in the customers we bring in. Being a doctor myself, my patients’ care and their happiness was everything to me and my business, of course. Sensitivity and compassion goes a long way to the people who deserve it. Tera will not receive one more dime from me. Be prepared to be treated like the doormat you step your feet on upon entering this awful place.
If you read the other reviews carefully, it seems I’m not alone with my interpretation of Tera’s unprofessionalism.

The owner is completely insensitive and enigmatic. My father passed away and I obviously wasn’t aware this tragic family event would happen prior to my booking a hair appointment. Tara proceeded to charge me a 90$ cancel fee. She will no longer get my business and will be sure to pass along her unfathomable callousness to my family matter.

Just moved a few months ago and left my long time hair stylist behind. BUT thanks to my daughter-in-law, I discovered Tera and got THE BEST HAIR CUT ever. She's REALLY good. Makes it look effortless but I know it isn't. She's generous, works to please, went with my cautious instructions and then offered to trim up and take more off if I wanted. Great all around. The salon also has nail and face services, which I've tried and appreciate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this salon in general.

NEVER!!!! RUN! Here's my accurate story-I have a witness too That was with me my entire time at this place! I booked a partial highlight and touch up ONLY and made it clear twice! So here's my painful experience with the owner Terra. First, She canceled my initial appointment and rescheduled me the next day and I said that's ok. I show up on time and then she let me sit at the front for 20 minutes as she finished up a little boys haircut. I didn't say a word, yet she didn't even apologize or introduce herself so much as ok here is my chair. I showed her a picture of my hair that had partial platinum highlights from a few months back and said that's what I was wanting again and that I really didn't need a color touch up but would do it to add dimension. as bleach sat on my head for literally an hour I called out for her as it was burning very bad. she was busy with an interview to hire a new nail tech she said. she let me sit there burning and She would not allow me to ask questions and when my scalp and face were burning I asked her to please wipe off the bleach. She kept saying I'll get it it afterwards. So I was forced to wipe off the bleach she got all over my forhead and temples and side cheeks myself---then she got mad because I flipped the cape inside out on a corner as I had nothing to wipe it off with and she decided to clean her cape instead. I was shocked! i not only have blisters on my entire forehead, but the nightmare doesn't end here!! she treated me so so bad infront of my 12 year old daughter as she pushed me to get a trim when I had already intensely told her I lost 80% of my hair with Covid and did not want a hair cut as I tried so hard to grow out my hair from it falling out and thinning out. I said although it looked bad at the ends I was good with it not being cut. soooo she insisted on a tiny trim so I asked her to trim literally a centimeter and she showed me with her fingers measuring that she promised me that's all. she has me turned around from the mirror and I was honestly closing my eyes from the bless still burning my eye so I didn't see her cut so much off! when I opened my eyes I was so sad to see my hair short! She cut off an entire foot of my hair as I have before and after pictures!! she blowed dried my hair partially and then I caught her using thinning shears too! I cannot believe my eyes as I said atleast 5 times no more than what we both measured and that's it please!!are those thinning shears please no I said no razors, no cut past what we discussed! she had the audacity to tell me she likes to just do what she thinks is best and not be questioned or have to explain the process. I got up and replied, And I as a first time customer need to feel comfor table by being able to ask questions and tell you what I do and do not why and now I'm out of here. I went to pay the $140 and she tried charging me $250! double! for butchering my hair off and literally blistering my entire forhead as she chose to neglect me in the chair and do a job interview! I said abs not are you over charging me! I'm paying what I booked and no more. I laid down $150 on the counter and said I will never step foot in your salon again and I have never been treated so bad in my entire life. I immediately text my friends showing them my blisters on my forehead and temples and the incident. HERES THE REALLY INSANE PART.... an hour later I get a phone call from the sheriff saying she called the police on me for theft for the remaining $100 that she wanted to over charge me for. the police confirmed I paid correctly and still tipped her a list $10 that she didn't deserve honestly. I begged the officer to also review her cameras showing where I kept behind her to wipe off the bleach on my burning. face and asked her in the back to please rinse the bleach out of my scalp as it was burning and frying my hair. if these blistered areas get worse and scar I'll be very upset. my daughter was terrified for me as she witnessed the entire 2 hours of he

I'm new to the area from Chicago and was in search of a new nail/hair salon. Last week Autumn did my nails and I just had a haircut from Tera and both were wonderful. The salon is clean and the decor is lovely. Tera had some great recommendations on what to do with my hair. Prices are fair. I will definitely be back for both!Services: Haircut

I love what Tera has been able to do with my hair! She always knows what will look best & how to achieve it. The environment throughout the salon is great, as well. It feels clean, I am always offered a selection of drinks during my appointments & there is beautiful artwork throughout the space. I would highly recommend Hair Etc to anyone looking for a wonderful salon experience!

Update: the salon was sold. Do not like the ‘new’ look or care. DeLaine is no longer there.
Love this place! DeLaine is an awesome stylist. Goes above and beyond to make sure I am satisfied. She is outstanding at color and highlights. Everyone is very friendly and always prompt! Love the jewelry and clothes they have for sale too!

I've been going to this salon for a year and a half and have always booked with Tera, the owner. The salon is well appointed, with new stations, freshly revamped from the prior owner. Appointments are made with ease, and I always leave feeling fantastic after getting a fresh 'do! It's an exceptional salon, especially in this remote area, where often good quality *anything* is hard to come by. They've recently added nails - and have other offerings, like spray tanning (soon to be more). A true gem!Services: Bang trim

I have seen Tera (the salon owner) twice now for a haircut, and it is by far THE BEST haircut I have ever had. If you have thick hair - she is your girl! I love that she takes her time, and knows how to properly thin out my hair so it styles well. So happy and thankful to have Tera here in Conifer!Service: Haircut

I went in for some highlights for a wedding I was going to be the MOH in. I was excited to get these done. I'd done them once before for another wedding at this location and it had gone well.Throughout my appointment for highlights the hairdresser insisted that I needed a trim.My hair was incredibly long, I had been growing it out since I was a teenager. It was my favorite feature about myself, beautiful and incredibly long hair. My father had loved my long hair before he passed away. I enjoyed having that connection to him.The hairdresser kept pushing and pushing. Insisting that she'd only take off the split ends. I finally caved and told her no more than an inch or two. I even showed her with my fingers how far she could trim.I'm sure you can guess from the one star on this review what happened next. She cut off so much of my beautiful long hair I still cry about it. I remember looking down at the floor and seeing her quickly sweep up nearly half of my hair into the trash so I wouldn't see. She told me "it's still long hair" took my payment and watched as silent tears rolled down my face and I quietly walked away. I couldn't find the words to get angry. I was devastated and just had to get out of there.I no longer get compliments on my beautiful long hair. I still have moments when I realize how much of it is gone. It'll take me decades to grow it back. I've lost confidence in letting any hairdresser touch my hair with sizors ever again. Hair ect has lost my business and I have lost something incredibly precious to me.

I had dreads due to my fiances suicide. Before his death my hair was very long and curly. But the last thing I could think about was brushing my hair. I had them for 7 months. My hair didn't want to take the the dreads so I had to wrap many of them with string to keep them together, and most of that was in the back of head. I decided to brush them out but the ones that were wrapped had to be cut very short. So the back of my hair was just horrible. I was so scared that my hair was going to be so ugly. My hair stylist tara, a very very talented women who obviously cares and loves her work, decided to kindly brush the rest of my dreads out for very amazing and reasonable price. I booked another appointment and was nervous because the back of my hair was very short and had no idea how anyone could pull off a good haircut and keep the length I had left. This is the BEST haircut I have ever had and I have no idea how she did what she did. An amazing women and an amazing artist. I will forever look back on this haircut and how pretty i feel. This is something i needed to feel good about myself after such a tragedy. she paid attention to my curl patterns and my hair has NEVER looked this good. If you go anywhere to get your hair done go here. I could not thank Tara enough and she has no idea what she did for me to give me my confidence back and to be happy with the way I look after a horrible tragedy. I'm moving out of state and I will definitely make the travel for Tara to do my hair again.
