My father passed away at your facility on August 30th 2024. As of September 10, 2024 still no death certificate. No autopsy was required. Hopefully, this is not how all Veteran's families are treated. Makes it hard to do the necessary filings and notifications that require a death certificate in a timely manner

NEVER GO, this is the worst hospital I have ever been to in my life. I took my fiancé to the er. they forced me to leave and tried to insist on her pressing charges against me over a miscommunication and made up accusations. do not take your dying enemies' kids there! they are the worst for care. they're the worst for service. they're worst for compassion or empathy. needs a -5 star option

I went to the Er yesterday because of a problem I was having (keep in mind I never go to the hospital). I was at my writs end and ended up at the er. I spent more time waiting to get seen. When I finally got seen by a doctor it took less than 5 minutes to be told it’s nothing they can do for me. I waited about 3 hours to been seen by a doctor to be told it’s nothing they can do. They going to bill my insurance company for about 600 if not more just to see a doctor for 5 minutes. This is ridiculous. The same thing I was told to do I been doing at home anyways. But I promise you soon as that bill come thru I will be fighting them charges. I just wanted them to drain a boil that i had since last sunday ( no pain medication hell no antibiotics) just drain the boil.

Why am I receiving a call from a debt collector Wakefield and Associates with zero information about the charges or what the breakdown is and have no mail from you guys yet you have my address and I'm being called by a collector??? Your hospital sounds like you are scamming because my insurance information was given and it sounds like you're trying to collect beyond what my insurance will agree to pay, and that is fraudulent practice. I know for a fact that EMS services are covered 100% by my insurance. I'm reporting you to Tricare and the BBB. You can't just start outsourcing to a debt collector because you overcharged in the first place and made zero attempt to collect via mail and give a breakdown of what I am being charged for.

I was recently in memorial central for 3 nights and 4 days due to my toes being amputated. Dr Berg was amazing as well as various Dr's on her team. The staff on the 6th floor are an absolutely great bunch of people and medical staff. I received excellent care from them. I also want to give some love to the food service staff, excellent food and to the janitorial staff as well. I received excellent care and my wife was kept up to date through every step of the amputation.

I Woke up to my wife on the bathroom floor with extreme stomach pains as she could not get or sit up, throwing up on the floor and diarrhea. I called 911 for an ambulance because I did not want to buddy carry her down the stairs. At the hospital she was still in extreme pain, shallow breathing, panic, stiffness, high blood pressure etc. crying for longer than 2 hours sitting up in a wheel chair. She was hyperventilating and crying in the lobby. She stated that the pain wasn’t as sharp if she laid on her side which was the position I found her in. There was a point where I couldn’t feel her pulse anymore, and asked the front desk 2 times for a blood pressure cuff and got denied. I get them free from the VA and have one on each level of my house. I called 911 again asking if they could ambulance her over to another hospital and they said as long as I’m in a hospital there was nothing they can do. I would’ve gladly paid triple the price to do that after I heard I was 14th on the list around at 2 AM. She was puking etc since 11 PM, and we got into a room at approximately 6 AM. We had a lovely gentleman offering up his spot to be seen because he noticed the sheer pain she was in when he broke/sprained/hurt is ankle/foot. He is our witness, because as she was laying on the ground bringing her pain down to a 7 the security guards said for her to get up off the floor cause it’s “dirty”. I said you don’t have any idea what’s wrong with her and that she could be dying, the last thing we are worried about are some germs on the floor when she’s laying on top of a blanket. All they took were her vitals which were very high. Her laying on the floor was the only thing giving her relief, security said what if someone kicks her? I stated that at that point I’d would defend her, then they said they were going to move her at which time I pulled out my phone and they said that recording was illegal inside a hospital due to Hepa. I stated that I was her care taker, and my witness consented and gave me his phone number. Then security realized that they actually had someone who was being tortured sitting up in a wheel chair. I want the video of the lobby of 8-24-24 at approximately 2 AM to 4AM. It was inhumane not to give her anything for pain and having her being tortured sitting up in a wheel chair when it was unknown abominable issue which is higher than food poisoning. If it was anything we could sleep off we would’ve never came here, I had to show a lot of restraint from a snarky skinny emt, to the front desk bowl haircut guy telling me that they couldn’t basically do anything while my wife is basically dying on the floor.
Things that probably need to change via lawsuit, something to lay on in the waiting room especially since it took more than 5 hours to get a room for people who can’t sit in a chair or wheelchair, and a Dr. to administer pain medication to people in the waiting room in extreme pain like a triage if there’s no room or to be able to categorize severities.
Even for a severe stomach ache, this experience could’ve been smoother with the front lobby staff and the security staff. If the request was reasonable try to help, or get someone who can. Once we got in the doctors and nurses were good, everyone probably knew the scene that was made. Things could’ve escalated for the worse very quickly.

I've been stuck in this stupid hospital for a week over a broken bone. They have postponed the corrective surgery five or six times now. They ignore my questions about transferring to a facility that is less busy and just keep telling me to "hang in there" to the tune of $10k/day in room expenses.

Last Night (8/17/24) I was at Texas Roadhouse with some friends) and my steak went down the correct tube, but it was too big to pass all the way to my stomach. Instead of fussing with an ambulance my mom and a friend of ours (Let's call her T); rushed me from Texas Roadhouse to UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central. Everyone was so nice. Being on the Autism Spectrum, emergency situations can be majorly triggering for my anxiety. They let my mom and T come in the back and T held my hand as they tried to start an IV. After over an hour of spitting up my own silva, I was badly dehydrated and started getting sicker as we waited for a bed, so T went and told them that I was getting sicker and they immediately came and took me to a room in the back. After a quick and failed attempted to try and dislodge the blockage, using medicine, they decided to do an emergency upper GI Endoscopy on me, which for a food obstruction requires a full Operating Room team. Dr. Cook, my Anesthesiologist was really great and explained everything to T, my mom and I in simple and easy to understand terminology. Dr. Lee, my gastroenterologist was amazing and answered all the questions we asked, and was very polite despite the fact that it was the middle of the night. Our friend T acted as my patient advocate and asked each team member questions to make sure that everything was clear before I went into the procedure room. I was successfully treated and discharged just after 1:00am this morning. We were visiting from Commerce City so each new team member I met was surprised that I was in Colorado Springs. Never a fun experience to have to go to the ER on what's supposed to be a vacation, but Thankfully it was a very positive experience.

I promise I’m not a Karen but seeing that most of the reviews are negative I feel way better about leaving mine… The malpractice in this place is unbelievable. From seeing people bleeding profusely sitting waiting for hours IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM to just the overall dismissal from every single staff member in every department. Basically what happened that really pushed me over the edge was: I’m a young girl and I was visiting someone by myself, visibly lost and no one cared to help me find where I needed to go for even a second. I waited forever until they called five security guards to escort me outside. I didn’t understand what was happening until they told me to leave for no clear reason but I was so nice and respectful to them because I thought they were there to help me find where I needed to go and they couldn’t have been more rude. They made me feel like garbage, didn’t explain why I was being asked to leave, and were just lackluster security guards obviously wasting their time ruining my night instead of actually doing their jobs. All I have to say is do not take your loved ones here. You will put their lives in jeopardy at the hands of people who so clearly do not care about what happens. That’s all. Goodnight.

I had surgery back in May, I got billed 2 months ago in June, now all of a sudden here it's almost August and there is a new, very surprising bill popping up that added to my almost 5 grand in bills. Was in contact with my insurance only to find the billing department didn't even bill me the right way.. y'all messed up and with get 10.00 a month until you fix your billing departments massive screw up. Sounds like yall need to fire the whole lot of them and get actual accountants in that department. I'd swear you hired your people from College America or that other low rent college. Yuck.
