Ron was fantastic! Understood the type of shoe I was looking for and brought me a few different styles of Altra’s. I ended up with the Experience Wild trail shoe and I am pleased with my purchase.I also have some great new trails to hike and camp thanks to Ron!

Haven’t been fitted for running shoes in such a long time and I’m training for a marathon so I’ve been super pumped to go and look for new shoes! Walked into this store wanting to do the whole process and to find a specific brand just to see if they’d be a good fit for me and instead was just approached by a woman that came off a little cold and asked what shoe size I wanted. Didn’t ask if I wanted to get an analysis done or what specifically I was looking for really. I asked her if they had a specific brand and she looked at me annoyed and said if they did they’d be out here and pointed to a pile of shoe boxes.. felt very awkward after this first encounter but decided to ask if they had something similar and she asked the size and disappeared into the back. I’m not sure if I’m just not getting their process here but there were no questions asked about what style or color I would like or what I was training for. She brought out shoes that were just not my style but I tried them on to see if the fit was something I would like and during this process she just seemed very bothered and annoyed like I was wasting her time? I didn’t like the shoe and would apologize and give them back and she would just sit there. No back and forth conversation or consultation happened and I just felt disappointed because maybe I had higher expectations of what a fitting would be like based on previous ones I had in the past. I was disappointed with how she made me feel as a customer and how she kind of ruined the experience of trying to buy running shoes. I told her after only trying on two shoes, that I don’t think I’d like to buy anything today and I was just gonna look around and she didn’t say anything and just got up and left? I decided to just leave the store after that cause I felt like I just wasted her time and she made me upset. Lol onto the next shoe store I guess!

Told the employee my arch support concerns and PT recommendations, was handed a set of inserts and checked out. Never tried them on in store, was not the right fit for my shoe, was not the right arch size or what I needed for my activity. Would highly recommend going to Fleet Feet, where they scanned my feet, analyzed my gait, and thoroughly walked me through all my options, allowing me to try multiple insoles, shoes, and even trimming the insoles for me before leaving.

I followed the recommendation of a family member to check out The Colorado Running Company, and I am so glad that I did! I met my new friend Ron, who spent a ridiculous amount of time with me. I think I tried on every Hoka on the market. He thoroughly assessed my walking style, foot type, my needs, and listened to all of my concerns. After so much back and forth, Ron was able to help me find the perfect shoe. I appreciate him and the level of customer service I received overall from the Colorado Running Company. I definitely will be back for that other pair I was torn between, and I would recommend everybody support this amazing local business!

I received an expensive gift card for here. I went in and waited 20 minutes or so in store and nobody would help me. I didn’t need the ‘full service’, I just wanted some daily shoes I could walk in. But the limited staff was spending so long with other customers and wouldn’t multitask while helping one customer (he was even out running testing shoes). I ended up just walking out frustrated. Thought I could just shop on their online store but it doesn’t accept their own gift card in their online store. Really?

Jay had me stand on this machine that analyzed my feet. Turns out… I’ve been running in the wrong shoe size! I needed wides. Then he watched me run and recommended a pair of shoes based on the way I run. Can’t wait to finish up the pair I’m on now to buy the Brooks adrenaline 23’s!

Been running for years and came in to try on a couple pairs of trail runners after doing some research online. Had some questions based on a history of over-use injuries and Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Great to talk with and brought a Topo model to my attention that I didn’t know about. Thank you!

I had never ran more than a mile straight before and decided to start the couch to 5k program. Lisa helped me get fitted for running shoes nearly 7 weeks ago after encountering some pain while running. The shoes were great! While they didn't make me a better runner, it highlighted issues and led me to figure out my form was breaking down while running slower. Ran pain-free after that and finished my first 5K while enjoying the benefits of the shoes!
