I called and spoke to Linda the store manager I stated on my recipient I was charged $4.99 per pound even on the photo below states $1.97 per pound. I am a Safeway customer all of the time how the “Store Manger” was very rude I told her my problems and she hung up the phone in face I called back and asked for her name she stated her name is Linda and if I had a problem call corporate and hung up again. I come inside back inside the store and spoke to the other store manager Dan and they were very helpful and so was Jayden. I appreciate them taking the time to help me with my situation fast and efficiently.

Rude Bootlicking employee begged for a 10/10 review and said “don’t leave one unless it’s a 10”. You work at an overpriced corporate chain grocery store get over yourself lol so I’m here to leave a one star review now ?

Shoutout to Linda at self-checkout for ruining this store. I saw at least two other people shopping using their reusable bags as baskets but for me it was an issue. I do this everywhere I go grocery shopping because then I'm limited to the bags I have, I'm not guessing and potentially needing more bags. The 6 other employees who saw me had no issue with it but Linda insists I use a cart which quiet frankly I don't like doing since I'm too lazy to put the cart back and I think it's lame when people don't put their carts back. I've got a sneaking suspicion that she only wanted to pass off the cart rather than put it away from the previous shopper. I assume that since she asked if I was still shopping, as if she thought after making my purchase I continued to browse for fun, that's asinine. Regardless I'll respect the silly rules.
Edit: I won't respect the rules since they're foolish but I will abide by them, I just won't go to this location. I just want to clarify that it's a ridiculous rule that came out of nowhere since I've been going here for months and have never had an issue. Also I can only assume part of the reason for the request, aside from not wanting to put the cart back, is the potential of theft. That's absurd because if I were to steal it would be significantly easier with a cart, I'd be able to at least quadruple my haul.

Ok I don’t write mean reviews unless someone does something extreme or nasty and in this case y’all are the nastiest people out there. We bought diapers for our kid today and my husband got too many thinking he was helping..he bought extra under stress at the falcon safeway..we were at the falcon pediatrics getting a surgery done on our baby so it was pretty hard and stressful day..
He got the diapers while I was in the surgery with our baby..when we got home (we live 30 minutes away) he took one diaper pack back that was unopened realizing he bought 3 packs.. and this location refused to refund him…Safeway has a completely fine refund policy but these people are just downright stupid and mean..the GM told him to call corporate and walked off.
They refused saying they didn’t have the same products here and it has to be returned to the same store but my husband pointed out they had the EXACT same diapers there and that’s when miss queen of all jerks and karens told him to call corporate and walked off. Meanwhile the Safeway on circle gladly refunded us no issues. So to your trashy nasty GM who deserves to get fired I say GOD BLESS you!!! You are definitely a miserable human who loves and thrives on making lives of other people (ESPECIALLY STRUGGLING STRESSED OUT FAMILYS) much harder then necessary and needed..but for someone with that ugly of a heart and soul you obviously need the most prayer so anyone reading this comment please send prayers to the General Manager of this location she needs it really badly.

Real food is on the decline. Substance without added food "stabilizers" are 4x prices. The farmers know, the people know, but the grocery store remains silent.

Today I went to Safeway on N. Wahsatch and I had a horrible experience with checkout attendant name LINDA. She truly had horrible customer service. Linda is a racist and so is the manager. I was with my young daughter. Linda's attitude towards black people is horrible. The manager was rude and very racist , when I complained about Linda. Please don't shop at this store. My families experience was horrible and it made us feel uncomfortable. If someone would like to contact me my name is Kendra

Safeway is best grocery I guess, they are clean and it is a place that make you feel safe. Just dont expect a very cheap price.

Went to this one.. watched several people walk out stealing stuff with management asking really that's what your stealing? Their Starbucks was out of 3 different drinks... Barista saying she didn't know how to make a dragon fruit lemonade. I WON'T BE BACK.

After 25 years of shopping at Safeway, will spend my money elsewhere. Please note, I am not a mind reader for newly implemented procedures, and 1 sign over a newly installed self check out area does not cover all areas that are not enclosed. Perhaps instead of putting a customer scanned items back in their cart and telling them you will cancel their transactions and to go to an unmanned cashier station (at the time), explain new procedures. Note per receipt I had 17 items! And very few customers in store, NO lines. Guess new motto is expect customer to mind read, employ Gastopo methods, get rid of customers! BYE
