Checking out at self checkout because no cashier was do be found. Lady takes our tags off and then proceeds to tell us to make sure we show our receipt to the security lady. Mind you we haven’t even scanned and item. Whole time we’re checking out we have 3 employees standing there staring while we struggle to scan items that aren’t scanning no one offers to help instead just stare. My husband asks why they were staring at us like that and the all 3 ladies including the manager Denise said it was the company policy to stair at us the way they were. Felt completely discriminated and uncomfortable. If this is how you are a business are training your employees and management team then I for one will not be shopping at a Ross anymore. Unacceptable

Bought one item, cashier stood behind me watched me pay for my one item. She wanted to see my receipt matched the codes. I was upset, really I said, she watched me pay for it and acted like I was stealing, then then told me your not the only one. I Will never go back to the Ross store on North Care Free again! Bad customer service and bad manners.

Alright. I honestly don't want to write this, however after our experience and other Google reviews, I want to help others avoid what we experienced, and call to attention, if possible, the leadership at this store to address these issues. I also want to surface that this is NOT a new or isolated issue. The service we experienced is systemic. Read on for our experience. I'll attempt to be brief. The shopping itself was fine. Large selection, albeit there was obvious disorganization. It happens. Not the cleanest store, but it's Ross, my expectations aren't high. Fast forward to around 915pm or so. And here we go. A lady came over the speakers addressing the customers that they were closing at 10 and make sure customers were informed. However, what was one simple announcement turned into once every 10 minutes, each announcement was more sturn and harsh. Up front we even noticed customers and employees disqueited by her announcement. Honestly, her words were not kind towards customers over the speakers. Importantly. Her words were not provoked, there were no publicly difficult customers present. It was simply an announcement for customers. Her tone was harsh and frankly disrespectful. I was sad. We got in line checking out and she was the one to check us out. She was very rushed and did not seem interested in small talk. In fact she seemed VERY rushed. Mind you the store was not at all busy during this time. Not remotely. And I've worked retail, I know what busy looks like. I think her name was Anver? Here's the wierd thing. The store wasn't closing for another half hour with plenty of employees working hard and getting stuff done. So after an attempt at me conversing ans asking small talk questions she said she was part time (I figured she was full time by the way she carried herself and was surprised by this), handed me my receipt and abruptly said a goodbye. My wife and I were both very surprised by the experience even checked Google to find out others have had similar service. There were no other workers we had issue with. I'm concerned for this location both for its customer base and it's employment environment. Businesses are ABLE to respond on Google. This business has remained silent to poor Google reviews with no change. That js poor customer relations and lack of responsibility. Ross Cimmeron, if you see this review, please make changes to your customer service approach. It is putting your reputation in jeopardy.

Cashier “Hoyuky” encouraged the people in front of us to use the self checkouts . Then she checked my grandmother out very quickly and told her that “you can grab your receipt right there “ as Hoyuky walked away from the register . She then walked away from us as we walked up to the register and started doing other things IGNORING us as there were at least 10 other customers behind us as well . She took her time in putting away her shelf of returns or whatever she was doing. When she came back she didn’t greet us or be friendly at all all she said was “do you want a bag for 10 cents , ok cash or card .” She was in such a hurry that she didn’t take the security tags off our items and the alarm went off when we exited. Very unprofessional behavior for an employee. When you work retail customer service is PART OF YOUR JOB!! Ross if you’re going to install self checkouts and slim it down to one cashier at least make it a good one who enjoys their job . How rude also to tell people that are coming up to your register that they should go use the self checkouts .

This is my favorite Ross location. Inventory and selection are always better here. We got some cheap but quality blue tooth headphones on this visit.
