Great selection, and really like the store in general. It was very clean and the employees are super nice and very helpful. Will definitely be making this my home store.

i really hate that business think that all people have smartphones and can use the apps, but some of us don't. some of us cant afford or don't need a smartphone which is why i have just a flip phone, plus they can't be hacked. i had to get a new safeway card and it has never worked to scan it. i won't purchase anything at safeway that gives the extra discount to use the app since i don't have this option. i am starting to not like safeway anymore since they discontinued so many products like frozen foods that i used to buy since i am disabled and can't cook as much. not sure why they seem to be getting even worse, so going to start going to king soopers instead. safeway manager: sorry, but i shouldn't have to go online and pick the savings i would have with the app, you should just make it accessable to all card holders without the app. not very helpful when i went onto safeway website to give you a private comment instead, but this is how it had to be. you lack access to your customers, and not very helpful like i stated since i am handicapped. and don't have a smartphone.

Pretty basic Safeway - nothing remarkable or noteworthy but they in general had what I needed when visiting Colorado Springs.

This review is for Cordarius. He is awesome! I was at my wits' end looking for lemon curd to make a cake for my sister's birthday. I had an online order and in-person experience with another store go south. By the time I got to Safeway, I was tired, stressed, and had very little patience. I went to the register and asked for help, the guy I spoke to asked Cordarius to help me. I was stressed and panicky, but instead of being defensive or combative, he was very kind. He was understanding of my situation, even though none of my stress was his or Safeway's fault. He walked with me to get the lemon curd, and handed it to me (not just pointed me in the general direction). Even though there was no reason for him to care about my stupid jar of lemon curd, he made me feel like he did care, and he helped me when I was freaking out. I am very grateful!

Cashier was really rude, shoved my groceries all around. Complained about the debit card I used, Claiming it was a tap which it is NOT. Shoved the next customer's stuff so hard it almost hit me. And she never rang my Dollar coupon. This happens all the time at this store. It's no wonder I'd drive 5 miles to another store to avoid this one 2 miles from my house

Don't order a cake from this store. You might regret it!!!I went to pick up two birthday cakes we special ordered for our 5 year old grand twins birthday tomorrow. The bakery was closed and the store manager couldn't find the cakes anywhere. So basically he said he was trying to help me, but getting nowhere. I said I had to go home and I would call him from there, because I had been at the store an hour for nothing already. When I got home and called the store, no one answered the phone. I tried for 45 minutes. My husband said, "Why are you bothering, they're Union. They don't care." I guess he's right.
