Showed up to pick up my rental car that I had made a reservation for months ago, only to be told that the SUV I had requested could only be a minivan now and to then be told that I was one person and basically didn’t need an SUV to myself. Having presidential status used to mean something to Hertz, but not here. Now I have no rental and have to just “wait” until someone returns one. Time of returns is unknown. No apologies or anything. Worst experience with hertz I’ve had. Customer service was zero assistance in the entire process as well.

Customer Service is non-existent for this company. Desk attendant was lazy and unhelpful. Even though our vehicle was fully prepaid for, they wouldn't let us actually pick up our vehicle because their card scanner wasn't working. Customer service is about making things right for the customer and doing everything in your power to find solutions. Instead, this worker kept insisting we go to the back of the line and call the hotline number- this number was also of no assistance. There were so many possibilities and options to make this inconvenience solved quickly, but they refused to input the card info manually, verify the card information personally, or even switch cards for payment. Again, no effort in actually trying to find a helpful solution. I wish we would have looked at the reviews before booking, for sure would have avoided this mess if we had. If you need another warning to use a different company, here it is.

I have had three terrible rental experiences in a row at this location. One car smelled so bad it was almost unbearable, I believe from trying to cover a smoke smell. Another had serious mechanical issues, and like others have stated, when I tried to call the number for this location listed on the Hertz website it was disconnected. The third time I was overcharged for miles by DOUBLE. Presidents Club status means absolutely nothing at this location. The employees are rude, the cars are sub par at best, and they are not reachable to correct issues. Do not book here.

I have used Hertz for the past 20 years until now. This has been the worst experience. I rented a car and returned it on 8/11 and apparently Hertz thinks I still have the car and keep charging my credit card $100 every day.
I have sent a message on the website and have emailed the local manager directly. It is absolutely impossible to get a human being on the phone to discuss any issues.
Please contact me immediately to resolve this issues.

At the Colorado Springs Airport. Second time here/second time we have waited over an hour for a reserved car. Told both times when arrived, your car is “being cleaned now.” After waiting an hour, our name called, approached the desk and told to wait at the back of the line. So disappointed. 0/5
Last trip, we contacted customer service during our wait and were told we could get a refund for the car that was not available.

Twice. Twice I made a reservation here, weeks in advance, I show up and they say, "Sorry, we don't have any cars and we don't have a firm understanding of when we will. Maybe an hour?" You have one job. One job. I won't make the same mistake a third time.

No cars at time of pickup. I have never rented a car at any hertz location that didn’t have any cars at time of pickup. Appears that 15-20 people are also in my situation including military service members. Sheer incompetence. Reading the other reviews it appears to be a regular issue.

It was a total Hassel. No cars, even with the reservation. Had to wait an hour to get the car. When I returned it I was told they had no cars and one hundred and twenty reservations. Feel sorry for all those people.

Phone number does not work for this location. Rented an unsafe vehicle that lost all electric power on the highway which I was able to return to the location since it could still be driven. Exchanged vehicles but was then charged for the exchange and fuel of the original broken vehicle. Careless, unsafe, dishonest. Recommend not renting from this facility. If you must, ensure you receive a reliable vehicle with in-state license plates and review the receipt in detail before departing the location to avoid being deceived. Have spent over 3 hours on the phone trying to solve this matter without resolution.

I had a pre-reserved rental through the government. When I showed up, they didn't have any cars available, for either me or the other 24 (I counted) people waiting. They put our names on a list, told us it would only be 30 minutes, but after 45 minutes they only made it through 4 of the (now 28) people waiting

Garbage rental. Same problem as many other people here. Made the reservation in advance, arrived, and was told that they had no cars. The managers were extremely unhelpful. I spent over $100 on Uber in order to get here and back to where I came from as I cannot pick up the car. They refuse to reimburse or give me a ride back to where I was. Under no circumstances, should you ever do business with them. The help link that they will inevitably provide to this review is broken and does not lead anywhere. They obviously do not read the reviews or do anything about the problem.
