The people that work here make trash pick seem like the most difficult thing in the world to organize! I would 100% use a different company if this wasn't through my HOA.

Ever since switching to Republic, I have not been happy. This is the worst trash company I do not suggest going through this company.

A guy riding on the back of one of their trucks on Hudson St. at about 12:15pm today 2/22 thought it would be funny to reach his arms out towards me and pretend he was going jump off and into my path as I passed them on my scooter at 30mph. It was raining and I almost wiped out swerving to avoid his "joke". What a total jackass. Unprofessional as hell, I could have been seriously hurt.

Terrible service! We have had a Porta potty rented from GFL for over a month and it has not been serviced since we rented it. We have made numerous calls and have been told that he's on his way. Never happened, full to the brim. Guess we'll call Waste Management!

I missed my trash pick up, so I called in to have them come back. They charged me a $28 fee and then never got my trash.. this company has gone downhill since it was Bestway..Horrible customer service

The service has continually gone downhill since they took over for Bestway. The team didn't even pick up a cardboard box set next to my recycle bin. The agent I spoke with isn't in Colorado and had no clue how their drivers work in this location. Horrible service.

UPDATE: Good Bye to GFL. A national company that was run effectively by locals with the former small trash companies crew. The new company Republic, is a national company as well that can't take care of local business. I'm ok with change, but the transition from GFL to Republic was obnoxious. The billing process really left me frustrated. After they took over, I was still able to log into my GFL account. This should have been disabled prior to my billing by Republic. Information I received said it would be a seamless transition...NOPE. If any of you paid GFL for services, Republic won't give you credit...and the phone reps not based on Colorado Springs are real ignorant to customers. I'm glad I fired this company.Stay away and look for a local run company. I never endorse other companies when giving 1 star reviews because the review was about the 1 star company. Republic is awful. Not worthy of picking up my dog poop...that's bad. We fired them days ago and the are leaving their trash cans in our driveway till next Friday. And here's a picture of my dog waiting for the empty trash cans (service ended last Tuesday) to be removed from my property...

I discontinued service in July 2023. The rep assisting me said I would get a refund mailed to me in 6-8 weeks. No refund. I have contacted them once a week since. The phone reps speak kindly to me, are trained well each saying someone will contact me in 2 days. No one calls back. It's been another 4 weeks. I'll be going to their local Colo Spgs location to talk in person about this and hopefully get my refund and end our relationship. I'll follow up.

Bad, expensive service. I rarely write negative reviews about anything however the public needs to know the facts. I started with whatever their name was before GFL took over in 2016 and until last year had good/fair service, little to complain about. But for the last year, and increasingly so for the last 6 months, the quality of service has seriously dropped: many missed pickup days, numerous delayed pickups, can lids left to blow down the alley, trucks speeding down the alleys, cans left blocking my driveway and not to mention litter spillover left up and down the alley. It got so bad that I could tell the day of the week by the content of litter in the alley. The other two trash services that come through my alley don't do this. I've voiced my grievances on their customer care line (3 times in the last year) and the week after witnessed first hand the same careless service. Today I cancelled service with them after (another) unsuccessful attempt to ask them to rectify these issues and to try to talk down on the 45% increase for service ($72/quarterly up to $115). Republic Services is a bad business. If I recall correctly, they're based in California. Hmmm.

Note this is not directed to COS GFL, but happened in Canon City. GFL is no longer in Canon City and everyone needs to be aware of how crooked they are. They took an annual payment from my credit card AND my bank account. Have contacted them several times online, received confirmation that message was received and I would hear back within 48 hours. I have never heard a peep from them. Tried to get my cc company to dispute the payment but since the 2nd charge didn't involve them they refused. That's $182 I've lost.Service: Trash removal & disposal

Since this company was taken over by Republic out of Denver I have been told that a positive credit on my account of over $85.00 will not be honored, because the company has been sold multiple times, first when it was Howard Disposal and again as Gfl. It will cost me a minimum of $25 to get a trash can delivered to my address for use and there is now an additional $75 charge on top of the cost for a roll off. Why would I continue with this company? When you call their office it is nothing but excuses and nothing is resolved. They can issue me a refund and I will take my attitude and business elsewhere. Like they told me, "It is an open market, I don't have to go through their company." Iw ish I could say I had the chance to actively use the business but it seems that I won't even have that chance with their current merger with GFL.
