Like this place, owners are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They've got the biggest selection in the Springs by far. Support this small business!! They have classes and a huge selection of hops, grains/malts and yeast. Lots of wine and cider kits too.

Went there a while back. Someone was filling in for the owners who were on a tropical vacation. Bought a basic brew kit. It was missing some parts (funnel, lid for secondary fermenter, fermentation locks). So I go to Old West now. They are really customer oriented, have great deals and expert knowledge.

I've been brewing for just about a year, and have yet to step foot in a home brew store due to our location, so this was a special treat! What a great store with an excellent selection. Tim walked me through the whole process of selecting my grains on the computer and weighing them out. A big selection of hops and white labs yeast. It didn't take too long to convert the recipe I had over to match what was on stock. Now I'm coming home with a recipe ready to go, and a bulk bag of pale ale malt to save me some money in the future. If we are back in town, we will be sure to stop. Thanks again

Tim and Brenda the owners spend lots of time educating their customers about wine. We have made about 6 different types of wine so far and really enjoyed the process…and drinking it.
