We’ll be cancelling our membership. This is not a family-friendly facility for kids with special needs. We haven’t used our membership for 4months and we thought YMCA Briargate is worth visiting, BIG MISTAKE!You guys can justify it whatever you want, but I believe two pools shouldn’t be for swimming lessons alone. We paid same monthly fees so I don’t buy these excuses. The mgt. could’ve plan a more better strategy for it.Also don’t wait for my boys to be in the actual pool before being told it’s not available. It’s called disrespectful and tripping. It’s hard enough raising a kid with special needs more so to be denied to what will meet his sensory needs.

I was minding my own business with my autistic son and I happened upon a scene I am utterly horrified by. The staff were discriminating against people with i.d.d(intellectual or developmental disabilities). They were enjoying themselves to a game of basketball and they were asked to leave. By the staff. Because they "didn't" belong there. I'm appalled. I can't even begin to express how hurt and torn these people were because of their disabilities. I wouldn't recommend joining at this location.

My family really enjoys this location. It definitely can be busy in the mornings as it’s popular and that’s really the only down side we experience. They have all the utilities & amenities you would need. I recommend if you have a family. The staff really cares & does a great job.

I purchased a personal training package. 6 days go by and I call to get a refund because no one reached out to me to schedule or set up my first session. The front desk person said, "Oh, I'm sorry no one contact you, I'll tell the manager you want a refund". Why couldn't the front desk person refund my money? They were able to take it. Also, another day has gone by and I haven't heard from the "manager". At this point I assume I'll have to process a charge back with my credit card company because this location will happily take your money but not return your calls to get a refund.... The manager called me today and told me she processed the refund yesterday. Why does it take a negative review to get any response from them? Why didn't she call me yesterday to tell me she was processing the refund? This location lacks basic communication and customer service skills.

This YMCA has an amazing pool and also has nearby businesses for other activities. They have a gym, a large swimming pool, a slide, plenty of lifeguards, vending machines, and more. There is a park nearby this location as well. I highly recommend this YMCA facility!

I was playing basketball on a Sunday, and I called earlier to ask when they were closing, I was told they closed at 6 pm. Went to play at 3. When it was 4 o clock two mean women started telling at me that they were closed as if they had been having a bad day. I get it that they want to go home but it is only open from 11 to 4, not that long of a shift. Even as I was leaving the gym they were yelling at me to get out. Hopefully the manager sees this and talks to them. For anyone wondering go to the tri lakes y, they are much nicer and a nicer gym. It may be another 15 minute drive north, but it is worth it.

The absolute worst. Their lap swim schedule is never accurate and I never get an explanation as to why or an apology for wasting my time. I’ve also had major allergic reactions to something in their water before and yet they assured me the water was fine.

Great place to work and workout. The staff is nice. They have various group exercise classes and classes for the elderly, such as barr and silver sneakers. They also have affordable summer activities for school-age children and youth, i.e. basketball camp and swimming lessons. The gym equipment needs updating. I've noticed a few changes, so they're working on it. I love that they're family oriented.

I love working out here! The staff are great and the facilities are wonderful. I trust the daycare workers with my kids and prices are super reasonable!

The staff are very helpful. The executive director, Chris, and our fitness consultant, Becky, are professional and genuinely care about helping people thrive. I’m 65 years old and in the best shape I’ve been in for years because of this YMCA.

I really enjoy the small pool, but am disappointed to see it closed when I want to use it. I like to do my own aerobic exercise routine.
