Big lots is always fun. There us just magically always one little thing there that makes your day. It could be a huge purple fleece blanket or pretty earrings, or this time it was these amazing coconut patties that make mounds look stingy. Dollar tree used to have them but it's been a couple of years. Since I've found them and for my candy binge enjoyment they had 6 of them and they are still awesome. They also had real sugar orange crush in glass bottles and they were epic.

The floors are horrendous. Come on people, this store needs quite the remodel. It doesn't compare to the store on Powers. Such a dive. Really disappointed!

I stopped by the South Academy Big Lots in Colorado Springs after work on January 2, 2024. I noticed a young disabled woman on the floor that was only wearing a shirt and underwear. An employee there stated she had been there since 1p and I arrived at the store about 6:20p. I called 911 because one female employees stated that they could not call because Biglots would be charged for her ambulance ride. Shame on the staff there and Biglots if that's your policy.

Pretty good selection. It's about the same as every other one with cleanliness and organization. Lots of parking and the employees were pretty friendly. It's not hard to find one if you need help, but they don't constantly break your train of thought by interrupting you so that's nice. Checking the dates on clearance items, there weren't any I noticed that were expired or on the verge of it. Overall pleasant experience. They still have several options for credit and leasing larger items that you usually need around 600 credit score to qualify for and they have awesome deals to work with almost any financial need, even zero interest alot of times.
