I don't know if all Safeway locations are like this one, but if so I suggest shopping elsewhere. This location prioritizes speed over everything to such a detriment that it clearly shows they couldn't give a hoot about the actual human beings who shop there. First they took away the self checkout option for anyone with more than 20 items. I understand wanting a couple of self checkout free for folks with just a few items. But allow some to stay open to folks with larger orders. You have taken away a huge accessibility feature of your store. But I am the type of person who complains on my own time and is polite to service workers. So I never said anything about that. Just forced myself to use the regular checkout and suffered from severe social anxiety every time. The only saving grace being that usually they allow me to bag my own groceries. However, today I was forced to let someone else bag my groceries. A young man would not take no for answer despite me telling him I preferred to bag my own things four separate times. He insisted I needed help. I did not. And so I gave up. He then proceeded to bag as quickly and as carelessly as possible with no regard for the fact that I specifically said I prefer to bag my own groceries because I am very particular about how they are bagged. Because of his bagging "help" two of my bags of chips were punctured, my blueberries were smashed, a salad kit was open and spilled inside my reusable bag, and I was so flustered that I left my extra bags I didn't use at the store and had to go back for them. So frustrating. For no reason! Just let the people who need self checkout use self checkout. Or at the very least respect someone when they say no thank you. I do not think I can continue to use this store. Which is frustrating because it is walking distance from my home. Please do better. Think of your customers who might need more accessible checkout options. And please, stop prioritizing speed over treating people like people. Thank you.

Good quality store, the lettuce is a little iffy, but everything else is great.

Such a nice store, it’s the only store I shop at. The pharmacy sucks! You wait forever and they won’t have what you need. Under staffed and they don’t care. I hope they change things before I have to and shop somewhere else .

Always has what I need and is very close to where I live. Very good selection of groceries and I have never ran into anything bad there 10 out of 10 experience.

Safeway on Austin Bluffs and Dublin is a hot mess. They have racks and racks of product sitting in the aisles and in the freezer section you can't get to what you need it's too narrow. And when Covid hit they closed the south entrance and have never opened it up again. WHY???? If there's no parking at the north entrance it's a long walk. They need to make a lot of changes before I go back there.

Employees are very nice, but the packaged meat department is lacking in quality control. Last week we bought salmon (not expired) and it was completely spoiled when we opened it. We also bought ground chicken, that I didn't realize was already expired until we got home. It was discolored the next day.

For a large supermarket chain, the fact that they lock their bathrooms is ridiculous. I walked all the way to the back of the store only to find I needed to ask for a key from the customer service desk (at the front). Then when I did they said they'd send someone back with a key. This Safeway is run like a 7-Eleven and I will not be back unless I absolutely have to.

Stores great pharmacy is absolutely trash. Long wait times and I mean days. I guess safeway think only having one person there anymore is okay? She's over worked and it's effecting people who need medication like seriously get this woman some help.

I went here for the first time today and did a pick up order and half of the stuff I wanted was out of stock without telling me; only substitutions. Then I got sirloin steaks and was WARNED to not shop here because the meat here is so bad. And boy, should I have listened. I had ONE bite of my steak and ended up puking it out because it was so disgusting. I will never shop here again smh

Why don't stores have dress codes and personal hygiene codes for employees anymore? I'm appalled that the employees who are allowed to work here. They are to represent your company, and you'd think that matters. It makes me want to shop elsewhere! Have some dignity!

I am extremely disappointed in my visit to Safeway on Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs today, August 4, 2023 at 4:03pm. I wanted a package of strawberries, they had none, because they're using all of them to put in to the plastic containers found in the refrigerated section, thus charging me more money for a plastic container of convenience! There zucchini, should I say, baby zucchinis were soft and bruised, they did not look fresh, probably past due to go in the trash. Then, I get into Checkout lane #3 and start unloading my cart, when the cashier turned off her light and tells me, "I'm sorry but you'll have to go to check out #2". So I put all my items back in my cart and move over to the #2 checkout lane and the young lady working check out #2 did not bother to say "hello", "did you find everything you were looking for" nor did I get a thank you for shopping with us today, a goodbye, a thank you, nothing. I was just handed my receipt. I think some training in customer service is in order. Do better Safeway.

I love this place because 1) it’s tucked away a little and often not busy, 2) THEY ALWAYS HAVE CASHIERS, and 3) they opted to hold onto their bags for as long as they could, and 4) their shopping carts are mostly decent. (Very few broken ones, and there’s a good number of cart drop offs in the parking lot. )Dear managers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue to have the adequate number of cashiers that you have had! We are a family of six in the summers - have four teenagers…. I refuse to do self- checkout when I have $300 worth of groceries to purchase.Having cashiers are one of the main reasons I continue to come here!Thank you!!

I had recently purchased a 2 pound bag of Waterfront Bistro brand .. Raw Shrimp .. this after reading that most of any recalled shrimp had been pre-cooked .. the size posted on the front of the bag said large 31-40 pieces per pound meanwhile the information in the back listed it as large & according to their chart was in the middle .. size wise .. after cooking the entire bag .. I could not believe the net amount didn't even cover a dinner plate .. I Cannot End This Review Of This Purchase Without Also Adding .. This Is Not Safeways Fault .. however (Waterfront Bistro) needs to re-evaluate their method of quality control
