Mean Gene the tax machine isn't really mean at all, in fact he's hilarious and really good at taxes! Been going to him for 8 years now and always enjoy the yearly visit!

2021 - Don is great! But lose the receptionist, Misty, she's awful!I used to be a client of Don's back in mid 2000's. Don was a fabulous accountant and very easy to work with.I moved out of state for many years and came back this year. I called today to request that Don do my taxes for 2020 and the lady who answered the phone, Misty, said that they weren't taking new clients. I explained that I was a client and she said that since it was so long ago, they would no longer have my client files and as a result, I would be considered a new client. Personally, I think it odd that an accountant would not still have my files, but whatever, right?!However, when she explained these things to me, she was neither empathetic nor cordial. I'm sorry Don, but you need to let that woman go, she isn't cut out for customer service and you will lose business because of her.

I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude while explaining that they are not taking any new clients. Then she hung up on me!

Rude, and they are not knowledgeable inthe 2016 trough today's date accounting tax services they were disrespectful from the reception who suggested that maybe I need to go somewhere else and without the opportunity to ask my questions, the person who came over had no idea what was form 8962 and definitely they have no idea what are the procedures to submit previous years taxes like I said maybe as the receptionist suggested "should go somewhere else" I know i took her suggestions and I left. What a disgrace.

I spoke to the receptionist about filing my taxes, and she scoffed at me! She was rude and even gave me false information regarding taxes. I didn't rate 1 star because I didn't get the chance to meet with an accountant. I will be taking my business elsewhere due to the unprofessional receptionist.

I've been going here to do my tax returns since 2004 with Gene, and both he and the office staff make it so easy and hassle free. This year was a complicated tax year for me, and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Gene literally makes it so easy that when tax time comes around, it's very hassle free for me. They are great at responding to emails, answering any questions you have, and they are located just east of downtown so it's very easy to reach. For any clients you refer to them once you have gone at least once, you also get $10 off per person you refer. Can't beat that deal! If you're looking for someone to do your taxes for you, I'd highly recommend Gene and A&R Accounting. They accept Visa, MasterCard, and cash for those interested.
