I had the presale inspection done here before I bought a car. They did note a few things, but completely missed some pretty major things. The slave cylinder was leaking and busted after the inspection, the rear wheel hub bearing where bad, and an axle boot had failed and it was very evident it had failed since there was grease everywhere. Unsurprisingly, the slave cylinder gave out while driving and everything that I had mentioned was not noted in the inspection. Ultimately, it set me back 3k in repairs because the shop did not do a proper inspection.
I did have the car serviced at a different location.

The most efficient and transparent mechanic I’ve ever been to. They took great care of my Forester and helped diagnose issues no other shop pointed out or noticed. They had fair prices and excellent service. I will only take my car here from now on.

These mechanics do great work and they do it FAST. If you’re a first timer, don’t let the slight language barrier worry you. Alex and Inna (I hope I spelled that right) are reliably responsive, honest, and as straightforward as you’ll get. I HIGHLY recommend this shop!

I have been taking my car to Six Star for nearly a decade, and there is a reason why. Only time I ever tried to use someone else was when I lived in Frisco, and I instantly regretted it and promised myself to only take it to Alex (6 star) if I can, no matter how far the drive. Honest, reliable and reasonably priced, you won’t find a better mechanic to fix your Subaru. I bought the 09 forester I’m currently driving back in around 2018, and he did my initial inspection, cleared it, and has done work on it ever since.. and all it’s really needed is regular expected maintenance. I could not recommend this place enough. Inna is amazing, kind and just always a pleasure to interact with, and so is Alex! Love this place and these people. Do yourself a favor and only take your Subaru here, it will thank you!

I have had this place change my timing belt my water pump on my 2012 Subaru, WRX fair price I even took my car back for oil change and they even installed the top moldings that were ordered from Subaru. Great service Alex is a great guy I plan to take my car there for the 60,000 mile service.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I have been a patron of Alex and his Six Stars Automotive for over six years. Why? Because he knows Subarus inside out, is efficient and fairly priced.Now on my second Forester (276,000+ miles) I had noticed an oil leak and my check engine light had come on. I dropped in and asked Alex about it. He immediately squeezed me in and put my car on the lift to take a look. Then lowered the car to look from the top of the motor. He spotted the leak at my oil pressure sensor and replaced it.In and out within 30 minutes and I was a very happy customer minus a big worry.VERY HIGHLY recommended!!

We stopped in on 26 Dec, because a rock got lodged in one of the brake pads and was making a horrible screeching noise. Alex and his coworker diagnosed the problem, discovered we were missing a couple of lug nuts on two other wheels and got us back on the road with minimal wait. The cost was far less than expected and we were appreciative! We definitely recommend their services!Service: Brakes

On a cross country road trip for last 4 months, stopped to visit a friend in Denver before the last push home to Oregon. Just before I arrived to town, my check engine light came on for second time in 3 weeks...but didn't turn off, as it had the first time.My friend's sister recommended Six Stars, and Yelp reviews backed that up, so I swung by on a Monday morning to see if there was any chance they might squeeze me in and diagnose what was going on and whether it was safe to continue on.I offered to leave the car if that would be helpful, but Alex said he'd check it right away. Was able to diagnose something going on with catalytic converter/ exhaust system, and reassured me it was safe to drive home to get it to my mechanic. Same day auto repair service without an appointment is so rare these days; to get my worries alleviated and check engine light turned off so I could access other systems for the rest of my trip home--within 10 minutes of stopping in?!?! Unheard of, and so amazing. And, he refused to take any money for his service. I'd absolutely recommend Alex. Thank you so much!!!

For 4 years I have used another Subaru shop, but unfortunately the service has really waned. All I needed was a new door seal for my back right door and my previous shop couldn't take me in for 3 weeks and wanted me to leave it at the shop for the entire day in order to do it. I called up Six Stars Auto Service and they said I could come that same morning since I already had the part and Alex installed it in just 3 minutes. We talked and I started to leave and I realized I hadn't even paid for anything so I said wait, I need to pay you and he said no it just took 3 minutes it's not a problem. I'm definitely using them from now on!

I can't recommend them enough. I called for a quote about getting some parts replaced and they were quick to respond and got me in for an appointment the next day. I also asked them to check my air filters and power steering fluid and instead of encouraging me to get extra work done they told me it was safe (and cheaper) to wait and do the power steering flush with the 120,000 mile service. Drop off and pick up was so easy and the prices are unbeatable. I will never take my Subaru anywhere else.
