Can't give zero but LoVerdi Tax Services deserves negative stars. They have not filed my taxes, responded to, or returned my original documents. Their negligence is costing me interest and without my documents, I cannot hire another firm. DO NOT USE.

I did not use Evelyn for my tax preparation, but she is the accountant for a company I did some contract work for in the last year. I have spent over two months trying to get my tax forms from her and she refuses to provide them. She gave numerous excuses for why she did not provide or prepare the forms, and then outright lied saying she would send them and never did. She ignores all phone calls, text messages and emails. I have been nothing but polite and patient, and have the history of messages to prove it should she dispute it here. Now the tax deadline is here and she did not fulfill her or the company's legal obligation to provide tax documents and report my income. As I said before, I did not use her for tax preparation, but my experience with her has been horrible and she is now costing me significant time and money. Stay away.

Evelyn LoVerdi Cruz provided very Unprofessional services to us and I do not recommend her. Evelyn LoVerdi Cruz avoided and/or ignored every attempt we made in contacting her. We were left in great dismay as we continued to fix the problem of Evelyn's lack off and dismissing us without our knowledge. It became a "guessing game" on our part.

If you are a new client, don't bother!
I was very disappointed with my experience. My fiancé and I reached out to Evelyn to do our taxes and met with her on March 7th. We had amendments that needed to be done on past years and she told us she would review our previous tax returns that night and get back to us with what she found. She also told me she would email me a list of documents she still needed. It was a good thing I took notes because I never got an email from her. I made sure to get her everything she needed the day after our meeting.
A week went by and we had not heard from her so both my fiancé and I tried reaching out to her via email and phone and never heard back. After becoming worried about what was going on, I decided I would take a ride out to her house/office on a Tuesday afternoon (three weeks after our initial meeting and not being able to get a call or email back). Mind you, this is an inconvenient location for me to get to.
When I arrived, I found Evelyn working there and I told her that we had been trying to reach to her to which she told me she was busy and our file was on her desk for her to get to that week. I sat with her for about 30 minutes and I decided to give her a second chance.
Once again, silence. We couldn't get a hold her. My fiancé was fed up at this point and went to her location the Friday morning after my Tuesday visit. Evelyn's response to him was, "I can probably get to your file next week." At that point "next week" was the week before taxes were due. He took our documents and left.
We ended up having to file an extension because of all this. Very stressful and extremely unnecessary.

Evelyn is the best!. I highly recommend using her. She is quick about getting things done and makes sure she does them right. I have been going to her for 5+ years. Definitely someone I can trust and count on. I was slacking this year and didnt even reach out to her, and she filed an extension for me because she was worried that I didnt contact her. I am extremely satisfied with her help !
