Same stuff, different staff member. I rarely go to this branch. Out of the blue I get a call (Megan) asking me to verify my transactions back to September of last year. Being told by the staff that I have to answer the questions or my account is subject to closure. When we as individuals spend money on what we want why would I need to verify what I'm spending my money on or making money on and depositing in my bank account. It's nobody's business but mine. I don't care what the laws says, that's offensive... I still like Bank of the West just not certain branches

I would do 0 Stars but google make me do 1 star. This branch sucks they can not do a deposit with out your drivers license and phone number. This is the only branch that required this as I use a few different locations. Since then I have deposited at others with no drivers’ licenses and phone number. The people that work at this branch do not seem to care about customer.

Excellent customer service. Chris, specifically, was very very helpful and took great care to help me with getting things squared up with my accounts to help me be successful in business and finances. One of the most helpful banking experiences I've had.

I solely bank with Bank of the West and am highly considering changing it because of this and several other experiences. Jerry Garcia was person that I had to deal with today. All I needed was a simple cashier's check and it took him over 20 minutes just to get a simple cashier's check made me sign a document check my ID and go through the process multiple times. Seems like he didn't know what he was doing. I told him several times that I was under time restraint. Takes me under 5 min at my usual aurora location.

Much better service all the way around. Perhaps they realized they had too many issues. Glad they improved

Most branches are closed now so hard to even find one, same for ATMs. High fees, poor customer service.

Even if you walk in and close your account in person, they leave it open (even with $0 balance and asking to "close the account"). I was told by the teller and the manager there is no way to completely close an account. They do this to collect fees in case you forgot to remove your account from somewhere else where you may auto pay. I forgot this bank was tied to my paypal account. They tried to withdrawl the money, the bank declined, then Bank of West hit me with $47 in fees. I was then told if I didn't come in immediately I would be charged $5 a day in perpetuity until the fees were paid. They did absolutely nothing to erase the fees, wouldn't even knock half off. Why would they, I wasn't banking there anymore so f*ck me right? So I paid and asked if there was anything else they were going to charge me, like the $5/day. I was assured by the manager and teller I was not, but they wouldn't put it in writing. Of course I was hit with the $5 fee, on the same godamn day. Now I have to go back there wasting another lunch at work to beg and plead they remove the $5 and actually close my account. I was one of the customers that banked with the previous one that was bought by Bank of Bear S**** customer for 10 years.

I have enjoyed visiting this branch. They always say Hi when I walk in and help me with a smile.

High fees, incorrigible customer service, bad online services. They treat their customers poorly, but their non-customers even worse! (I no longer bank with them, but my wife has until very recently and I have run errands there on her behalf.) One of many examples: my wife worked for a different bank that was gobbled up by this mega-corporation years ago. We were married while she worked there, and she took our marriage certificate and her updated driver license in to change the name on her account. Six years later they are still telling her that she needs to change her name.
