Quentin is so knowledgeable regarding everything about Tails Up. Thanks for the tour and for taking the time to get acquainted with our puppy!

Not for standard poodles. They ruined my dog’s top knot and now they both have bangs. Super nice and affordable but my groomer should have explained he can’t do a top knot. The outdoor pic was provided and the indoor pic is what I got. Standards are a hard breed to groom and I would have understood. Please be transparent about your grooming skills.

Fergus loves going in for day care, everyone has been super friendly and helpful. Sam has been instrumental in helping us get the wild side of our dog focused in and manageable.

My shy rescue dog was taken care of by the sweet and caring staff. They cuddled her when she was scared while outside and helped her feel safe and comfortable. I was very nervous about leaving her here overnight, but she did very well and was happy to go back. We will definitely be returning!

My two dogs stayed at Tails Up for a duration of 8 days. During their stay, we requested a bath for them. However, upon picking them up, we were informed by the front desk attendant that one of our dogs might have an ear infection. To our dismay, upon closer inspection, we discovered that his ear was severely infected, necessitating an emergency room visit that incurred a bill of approximately $300. It was distressing to learn that our little guy had been in pain for the entire 8 days, and we were never contacted about his condition.Additionally, our other dog developed a sore on his buttocks, possibly from interactions with another dog or self-inflicted. Despite providing two separate bags of food, tailored for our Lab and Golden, we found out that both dogs were fed the same food. This oversight resulted in a significant surplus of Lab food and insufficient Golden food upon our return. This experience was disheartening as we entrust Tails Up with the well-being of our pets, and it seems that the care provided fell short of our expectations. We promptly filled out a survey and reached out to Tails Up over a week ago, but unfortunately, we have yet to receive any response from them. We sincerely hope that Tails Up takes the necessary steps to address and rectify this situation.

Fantastic grooming service for my high maintenance husky at a very reasonable price. Sol and Kaden took great care of my dog. Will definitely be returning!

We’ve taken our anxious dog there several times, I have to pay extra because apparently he needs one on one extra care which is fine. He’s come home sick twice and last time with kennel cough. We ended up going to the emergency vet twice. My husband called them and they pretty much admitted that they had a few cases of sick dogs, but to add insult to injury we had made another appointment with them prior to this and they said they wouldn’t take him and they wouldn’t refund our deposit.. just to be clear we would not ever use them again. We did get our money back but only because my husband had be insistent..I’m more careful of who watches my dog now. This kennel needs to be more responsible with our family members we entrust them with.

Tails Up used to be a business I trusted (prior to the pandemic they were FANTASTIC every time) but my dogs' stays in 2023 have destroyed that trust and they will never see my business again. There was a small incident in May 2023 that gave me pause. But then we got a puppy and my backup petsitter also got a puppy and didn't feel comfortable with 2 puppies and 3 adult dogs (some mine and some hers) all together in her home and so Tails Up felt like our only option for our Thanksgiving trip. I left 12 days worth of food for one of my dogs, Sherlock, (3 packages - he gets 1/4 package per day or 1/8 am and 1/8 pm) for a 9 day trip. For my other dog, Westley, I left the exact amount he would need as he gets 1 package per day (larger, younger dog whom we are trying to get to gain weight since he's very active and on the lower end of healthy weight range). We were assured that they were familiar with Farmer's Dog diets. I confirmed amounts with a pre-check in survey and again at the check in desk. The amounts they get per day are clearly labeled on the package, with their name. On day 7 of my trip I was texted that my dogs were out of food, and could they give them kibble. I asked "How is that possible? We left more than enough?" then they found Westley's food, but Sherlock was out of food. But eventually we figured out what to do to get them through the last few days. At check out, I let the person at the front desk know I would need to speak to management about what occurred because it was very upsetting and ruined the rest of my trip to think they were overfeeding my elderly dog. I was told Quentin, a manager, would be in at 12 noon the next day and call me first thing the next day (today - as I write this at 1:15pm) in preparation for my call I looked at the post-trip report card around 11:45am and sure enough it said 1/4 packet am and 1/4 packet pm for both dogs- they overfed Sherlock by double and underfed Westley by half for 9 days. Then mysteriously at 12:08pm the profile updated to show 1/8 cup for Sherlock the entire duration of his stay - the measurement they used for the kibble for the last few days. So not only did they do the wrong thing but they're covering it up. And still I have not received a phone call. What they don't seem to be aware of is that they also underfed my puppy and that I do have screenshots of because they haven't doctored that yet. Edit to above: I did speak to Quentin shortly after 3pm and was told that 3 of my 9 days would be refunded. While I am thankful for the compensation and it will help with the cost of expedited shipping, my trust is broken and my dogs will not return. I truly help that my dogs' experience helps them to avoid this dangerous mistake in the future.

Love Tails Up! Clean rooms or suites, adequate play time for the pups, friendly staff. Love how you can watch play time and they even have cameras inside. Don't like how they nickle and dime you for an extra pet or snuggle. I figure they do that anyway, afterall, how can you resist right? Well trust me, they resist.

Tails Up is amazing and the only place I am comfortable leaving my pups. They offer enrichment sessions, training, and any extra care needed. I have two rescue dogs, each with their own set of needs, and they’ve always been well cared for and accommodated. I also love that they are staffed 24/7- that is very important to me and often not the case at boarding facilities. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone with fur babies:

We love Tails Up! We have had great experiences with taking our mini dachshunds there for boarding. We really like being able to see the play yards on camera, it has been helpful to be able to see our pups playing, having a great time, and getting attention from staff. We also like that you can choose to have extra playtime for your pups. The activities offered are fantastic, as well as nice that you can get grooming and now training there.Every member of staff we have had contact with has been professional, friendly, and caring. We have had no hesitation leaving our fur babies here.Sadly, we are moving out of state, so we will not be back :( We are looking for a new boarding facility in Illinois but I doubt we will find one as good as Tails Up! I have no hesitation in recommending Tails Up to everyone!

Everyone at Tails up are always so helpful and accommodating. We have some special circumstances we are experiencing as a family and they have been a blessing helping us take care of our little guy. We can’t say enough good as to how they take care of their customers. Everyone has been fantastic. The staff and the care they give is great.
